This was a great office five years ago. But it's taken me 6 months to get someone on the phone, and be able to schedule an appt. Now I'm in between dental insurance again due to employment changes, so it'll be a year and a half between basic cleanings. I can already see and feel the tartar building up. Pretty disappointing.

While the staff at this office are very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciate, unfortunately they are just not reliable and have a consistent habit of canceling or rescheduling pre-scheduled appointments that were scheduled often weeks in advance. It has happened to me a few different times with this office, for no apparent reason that I can see. I am just called and told the morning of, the doctor has to leave early or something else. That lack of courtesy and respect for my time as a patient is disappointing and frustrating, especially when you are taking time off work or making other arrangements to get to an appointment that you’ve scheduled weeks in advance. Doctors offices always expect YOU not to cancel last minute, so it’s not okay for them to do the same to you.

It feels just like the doctor’s schedule might have cleared for later that day, so my appointment was canceled or forced earlier because she didn’t feel like staying. It’s one thing to call and ASK if you can come in earlier when that happens, which I would understand, but another to cancel a patient’s appointment or else, who scheduled weeks prior and already took off time from work to go to your office if they can’t make the sudden time change. It just leaves you feeling like your time is not valued or important, and frankly it’s disrespectful when it happens so frequently. I have never seen a dentist office run like that before. I don’t know, but it’s not professional and doesn’t leave a good impression with me.

For that reason, I have decided to look for care at another office who is more reliable. I hope they see and improve this because it does not leave a good impression for patients.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!!!!! My daughter has a dental emergency. She had been to the ER and they said she has a bad abscess in her tooth. The next day, she went to her normal dentist, but she does not do root canals. So I made an appointment with Oakcrest as an emergency visit. They could not get her in until the next day. The appointment was made for 10:00. I received a voice mail later stating that their CALL CENTER SCHEDULED IT IN ERROR. THAT THE TIME WAS MOVED TO 11:00 am the next day. Mind you, they state they see patients on emergency basis. My daughter is in excruciating pain.

So we show up for her appointment today. The same receptionist that scheduled the appointment IN ERROR is at the front desk. She then proceeds to take my daughter’s license and insurance card to enter into the system. 10 minutes later she says well we tried to call you, but we didn’t get in touch so my daughter HAS NO APPOINTMENT!!!! The voice mail told me it was changed to 11:00 am. She tells me that they gave it away. The entire office was EMPTY. She did not offer any suggestions to remedy the situation only that she did not have an appointment!!! She didn’t check to see if my daughter could be squeezed in later. Just no appointment she said. I told them it was ridiculous that the voice mail said the appointment was made wrong and it was moved to 11:00. She just disregarded what I said like I was lying!!! We had to leave.

It was absolutely ridiculous. I am a retired clinic manager for 3 OB/Gyn offices. There is absolutely no way would one of my employees ever be so rude to a patient!! Very bad customer service! I should have read all the reviews before making the appointment in the first place. There are many, many reviews stating the exact same issue. Who manages this office and keeps allowing this to happen? My daughter is in terrible pain and this place does not care about its patients. I actually bet the real reason is the arrogant dentist just wanted time off. There were no other patients in the office.
