One Stop Dentistry

I don't really want to leave this review because I didn't have problems with this dentist until recently, but after some staff changes the environment and quality of work has suffered a lot. After a couple of recent appointments that were unnecessarily stressful (including one where I had a full blown anxiety attack), I sought a second opinion at another dentist. They immediately discovered a filling I had just gotten had either never actually been placed properly, or popped out almost immediately after my appointment. They explained me that the cavity I had was right next to a gland that produces saliva, so placing a filling there is very difficult for both the patient and dentist. At their office they would simply put a crown on the tooth, but because I just had a filling my insurance might not cover it.

I got lucky, but if I had slightly worse insurance, I could have been out nearly $1,000. They were also confused by several other decisions that had been made regarding my teeth. I understand that perhaps One Stop was trying to save me from getting a crown, but it was at the cost of a considerable amount of emotional distress and money. They do not often explain the reasoning behind decisions they are making with your mouth, and if there are options they don't present them, they just decide for you. This is on top of an unclear billing process (I never once received an estimate of what my appointments would cost, only a final bill) and a stressful environment (openly complaining dentists and stressed out dental assistants).

Because this was my first time seeing a dentist in a long time, these things didn't initially strike me as odd, but after finding a new dentist I see how much better it can be. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I genuinely feel the office and clients need to know how poor my experience was.

Dr. Norooz and his staff treat us with exceptional kindness and compassion every time we are in his office. He explains the dental work he is planning and encourages me to stay in the room during my husband’s procedure. He even made me coffee! Dr.

Norooz, Lainey, Leah, and Carina deal with the toughest of dental problems efficiently and competently, while making everyone feel comfortable and cared for. The doctor even calls to check on his patients at night. We feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Norooz and his staff!
