Detailed Introduction

Open Door Health Center (ODHC) is an independently owned and operated, non-profit community health center with a mission to provide access to integrated, patient-centered care for communities in Southern Minnesota. Founded in 1983 as The Wellness Center and officially named Open Door Health Center in 1999, it became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 2009. This designation allows them to offer quality and affordable healthcare to all people, including those who are uninsured or underinsured, through a sliding fee discount system based on income and household size. ODHC offers a comprehensive range of services including medical health (acute visits, immunizations, preventive exams, chronic disease management), dental health (cleanings, exams, fillings, extractions, dentures), and behavioral health services to address a wide variety of mental health needs. They also provide insurance enrollment assistance and legal services, demonstrating a holistic approach to patient well-being. The center accepts many private insurance plans, as well as MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance (MA). Open Door Health Center is committed to eliminating health disparities and increasing accessibility by focusing on culturally appropriate care and serving as a collaborative partner within the community. Their team includes board-certified medical and dental providers, and they also employ community health workers to connect patients with resources beyond healthcare, such as assistance with transportation, housing, and food insecurity. The Jordan, MN location specifically operates a dental clinic.

Emergency visit my ass!! They scam you for x rays, then say leave, not even fixing the problem. A real density would have helped faster than the time just wasted here and the gas it took to drive they did absolutely NOTHING! and laughed as a Vet leave in pain! Avoid at all cost! The state should investigate this place for fraud and patience abuse for neglect.

In 2022, I had a false tooth put in. Before having the surgery, I had applied for financial assistance and was approved for a portion of my bill to be covered through them and I would be in charge of paying the remaining $600 before the procedure. I went in for an appointment to have the partial fitted and sent to the lab to make the final tooth. I paid in FULL CASH while in the clinic for this procedure while at the front desk and was given a small receipt of payment made.

I just received a call this past few weeks of a reminder of non payment for the procedure that I had already paid for in cash. I called the clinic and they are showing no payment was received post opp, what does funny because they were very strict on me having the payment made before sending in the measurements for the tooth to the lab. So long story short either the lady at the front desk kept my money and gave me a false receipt of payment, or for some ungodly reason, they forgot to write it down. It has been two years since I've had that procedure and I'm sorry, but, I'm only human and now I do not have proof of the receipt as I never thought to hold on to it.

. therefore I will never be returning to Jordan clinic and I highly everyone to pay with debit card if you choose to use this clinic to avoid these types of issues. Unfortunately my only means of payment was cash at the time and now I'm truly regretting that decision. Good luck 🤞🏻😘

Took a child in for a cavity filing appointment. They were friendly, no wait. Things went well and they were good and patient with a 10 year old.
