Oral Health Partnership (OHP) Children's Dental Clinic is a vital 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, dedicated to improving the oral health and overall well-being of underserved children. Established in 2005 as an initiative born from the Green Bay Rotary's "Healthy Teeth, Healthy Kids" program, OHP officially became a nonprofit in 2007. Their core mission is to provide access to excellent oral health services and education, primarily focusing on children from birth to age 19 who are uninsured, have limited resources, or are on Medicaid/BadgerCare but struggle to find a provider. OHP operates through various channels to reach children in need. They have multiple dental clinic locations throughout Green Bay, including the one at The Howe Family Resource Center. In addition to their fixed clinics, OHP runs a highly impactful mobile school-based program, bringing essential dental care directly to students in over 40 schools and daycares across Brown County. For children with severe decay, special needs, or behavioral/physical concerns that prevent traditional clinic treatment, OHP has a hospital services partnership, allowing procedures to be completed under general anesthesia. The range of services offered by OHP is comprehensive and designed to address both preventive and restorative dental needs. These include dental exams, X-rays, professional cleanings, fluoride varnishes, sealants, fillings (amalgam and composite), pulpotomies (infant root canals), silver diamine fluoride (SDF) applications, stainless steel crowns, and extractions. Beyond direct treatment, OHP emphasizes oral hygiene education for both children and their parents, empowering families with the knowledge to maintain healthy smiles. OHP's impact is significant, serving nearly 10,000 unique patients annually and performing over 100,000 procedures. They play a crucial role in bridging the gap in dental care access for vulnerable children, often preventing costly emergency room visits and improving children's ability to eat, sleep, concentrate, and feel confident. The organization is committed to continuous growth, aiming to ensure every child in Brown County has access to quality dental care, expanding clinics, school visits, and community outreach efforts.
