Detailed Introduction

Oral & Maxillofacial Associates (OMSA) is a prominent oral and maxillofacial surgery practice that has been serving patients in southeastern Wisconsin since its founding in 1953 in Waukesha. The practice has expanded significantly over the years and now operates multiple offices, including locations in Waukesha, Oconomowoc, Johnson Creek, Mukwonago, and Slinger. OMSA specializes in a wide array of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures. Their services encompass: Dentoalveolar Surgery: This includes routine and surgical tooth extractions (including wisdom teeth removal), excision/biopsy of tumors, cysts, and other oral lesions, and preparation of dentoalveolar ridges for prosthetics. Dental Implants: OMSA provides comprehensive dental implant placement, including single tooth replacement, full-arch restoration (like All-on-X procedures), and bone grafting procedures (such as alveolar onlay grafts, ridge expansion, and socket preservation) to prepare the jawbone for implants. Maxillofacial Trauma: The surgeons at OMSA are skilled in repairing and restoring smiles after facial injuries, including fractures of the jaw, cheekbones, nasal bones, and eye sockets, as well as soft tissue injuries. Corrective Jaw Surgery (Orthognathic Surgery): They perform procedures to correct misaligned jaws and teeth, addressing issues related to chewing, speaking, breathing, and facial aesthetics, often in conjunction with orthodontic treatment. Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders: OMSA offers diagnosis and both surgical and non-surgical management of TMJ disorders, aiming to restore normal function and alleviate pain. Pathologic Conditions: They diagnose and treat oral and maxillofacial diseases, including cysts, benign and malignant tumors, and severe infections. Reconstruction of the mouth and face following tumor removal is also a key aspect of their practice. Preparation for Orthodontics and Dentures: Services like tori removal, vestibuloplasty, and frenectomy are provided to optimize the oral environment for orthodontic treatment or denture placement. Anesthesia Options: Patient comfort is a priority, and OMSA offers various anesthesia options, including oral conscious sedation, to ensure a relaxed experience during procedures. The clinic prides itself on providing state-of-the-art, personalized services with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Their clinical staff is trained annually in Basic Life Support, and their doctors are trained in Advanced Life Support. They also utilize the latest infection control measures. Patient testimonials frequently highlight the professionalism, kindness, and efficiency of the staff and surgeons, noting positive outcomes for procedures ranging from wisdom teeth removal to dental implants.

Dr. Peter Wagner of Oral Surgery Associates has horrible bed side manner! He was short with answers without compassion for my missing tooth. He told me a titanium implant was not possible unless I underwent a bone graft first. His graft was the most painful experience of my life, and I was billed at a much higher rate than average for this procedure. I was off of work for 10 days.

After 14 days of following the after-care regiment, his stitching burst open, and I had bone fragments in my mouth. At my follow up appointment, Wagner told me with zero compassion that he would need to do the procedure again with further cost. Frustrated and angry, I then visited “Oral and Maxillofacial Associates. ” On my initial visit with Dr. Kevin Connor, he informed me that I actually did have sufficient bone structure for the implant without a bone graft, and he was very friendly.

What a surprise from what I had been told by Wagner. I now have a tooth, with absolutely no help from Dr. Peter Wagner. My great thanks to Dr. Kevin Connor and the kind people at OMSA!

I had to have an emergency tooth extraction. I woke up with a throbbing jaw one morning and just kind of ignored it. I was just at my dentist a week earlier for a cleaning and all looked good- no cavities-YAY. So that is why I ignored the pain. Finally at 3 AM the next morning I work up in severe pain. My Dentist ( Dr. Nick Sable of The Art of Modern Dentistry in New Berlin) saw me ASAP.

He said I have a cracked tooth UNDER a crown and that I would need to see an oral surgeon. He called OMA and Dr. Connor could see me immediately. Honestly I was shocked to get in right away. Dr. Conner and his assistants were amazing. Explaining everything and making me feel at ease.

They got the tooth out and gave me explicit directions and an antibiotic. Dr. Connor kept checking in with me during the procedure to see if I was tolerating everything ok. Honestly I barely felt anything ( just a little pressure) the worst part was the noise of him getting that tooth out but I'll take noise any day over pain. I have used OMA in the past when I needed to have an implant. They are an excellent and professional office and I would not hesitate in using them again ( but I hope not too!) I recommend them to a friend of mine and she was very happy too. You will be VERY pleased and best thing your issue will be taken care of properly!

I immediately felt extremely comfortable and trusting with Dr Connor. I am confident he will resolve my issue with my bad tooth to complete satisfaction.
