Dr. O'Neil extracted a molar for me quite recently. Over many years, Dr. Schimmele & Dr.

Bojrab have done the same, but the experience w/Dr. O'Neill was quite different: he didn't take time to give me enough novocaine so I wasn't fully numb when he began the extraction. Additionally, while dental injections are never wonderful, his were by far the most painful I've ever experienced. One shot was into the middle of my left open jaw, which he hadn't even swiped w/the topical & it still aches as I sit writing this.

I have thought & thought whether to write this review, but I was once married to a dentist years ago who learned to do advanced restorative dentistry on my mouth, so I've had many, many oral shots, including pallatals (reputed to be the worst), all my teeth are crowns or veneers & I have 2 implants, so I know dental treatment!!! Dr. O'Neill's treatment was the roughest & most painful experience I've ever had in dentistry over 50 + years! I suppose because I am older & have white hair, he didn't think I was worth any time & effort.

Drove 90 minutes to this office for an extraction after being referred by my dentist. When I arrived, the receptionist demanded $400 upfront otherwise Dr. O’Neill would refuse to see me, despite the fact that I have medical and dental insurance. I spent two days setting up this appointment via three phone calls - one of which was due to their receptionist calling the wrong dentist for my referral - and at no point was I told that I would be charged up front for an extraction.

Had I been told that, I would have immediately cancelled the appointment. The receptionist lied to my face and said it was marked in my notes that I supposedly had been made aware, but again - in three phone calls over the course of two days, that was never mentioned. I called my dentist who initially referred me to this office and they were shocked to hear this. They told me they had “never heard of anything like that” and thanked me for making them aware, as they will be hesitant to refer patients to Dr.

O’Neill in the future. Incompetent scam artists - AVOID.
