A new patient to this place. It was referred to me by my dentist and with the blessing of my insurance company as they are an "in-network" provider with them. I didn't get the arm rest down in the chair before being informed a $350 xray was needed and that insurances do not cover the procedure.

I informed the assistant that the office is an in-network provider and that some portion of the procedure has to be covered and to call and check again. She insisted that it was not covered, so I left out of the office with nothing as it seemed out of line. I contact my insurance company, and sure enough, the procedure is 100% covered as of 1/1/25.

I return to the office with a second later appointment. Now the $350 procedure is "around $240", but the office still wanted the money out of my pocket and then will reimburse me after the insurance pays?? While i have no issue with a co-pay, and appreciate not getting blind sided with a bill at the end, this is not how an in-network provider works having the patient front the money? This is more than a bit ridiculous to have a patient go through all of this money and insurance haggling before even being consulted by a doctor? Big waste of my afternoon, but was fortunate to find other providers that do not have such business practices.

I am glad I went and got a second and third opinion. I was referred here (Orland Park location) by my general dentist in October. Dr. V told me yesterday (because I needed a root canal) that my tooth was broken. If I were a cavity and a tooth I would break too if I hadn’t been taken care of properly since October.

He told me that it would need to be extracted at this point. I almost cried right there. However, he did offer for a colleague to look at it and by that time I was really upset. I had three appointments with him and did not get anything done but several XRays, an antibiotic at the last appointment (because the cavity had gotten infected) and three bills. I went back to my general dentist yesterday after leaving there and she confirmed that my tooth was not broken, but had gotten worse 😳🥹 which I already knew.

She gave me a Dentist from A To Z dental, and I literally just got my root canal treated. Please get second and third opinions if necessary. Great staff though, I just don’t understand what my situation was about and I have great dental insurance.

I want to give 0 stars but that's not allowed. I saw Dr. Paul Vizgirda and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. I was referred to the Orland Park office to evaluate a persistent tooth issue. Dr. Vizgirdai would not give me five minutes of his day.

He came in, checked my tooth briefly, and gave a short explanation that he’s suspecting tooth fracture and I will need it extracted. Then he was ready to stand up and leave. I had to stop him from leaving a couple times so I can ask him clarifying questions about the suspected tooth fracture. At one point his back was already facing me and he couldn’t even turn his face toward me to answer my question about if treatment is urgent or if I can wait a little bit. His conclusion of my tooth and my visit was that it could be a tooth fracture although he doesn’t know for sure…
