Wow, so surprised to see these reviews. My experience was decades ago, but I had to leave after Dr. Carol O. got nasty and mom shamed me during one appointment. Her disgust was on full display.

In my sister's case, her child had naturally healthy teeth which resulted in no issues. Apparently, some dentists, I've learned, prefer perfect teeth which makes me laugh b/c we wouldn't need them if we were all perfect. Her sudden change in tone drove me away after a couple non eventful years going there. In the area recently, I looked her up and oh, my, what a surprise.

I have seen Dr Carol Orlando every 6 months for both of my children since they were each 2 years old and was always happy with her treatment and had recommended her to others. However, after reading other reviews I decided to take my now 10 and 13 year olds to my own dentist for a checkup. Come to find out my 13 year old has a cavity so bad that she now needs a root canal and a crown.

She saw her 6 months before this diagnosis so there is no way that it is new. Please read other reviews as well as mine before risking your child's teeth.

My daughter has gone to Dr Orlando since she was two, and she is 23 now. I would highly recommend Dr Orlando. My daughter had the same issue that the other person wrote about, going to a different dentist for an emergency appointment while away at college and told she had multiple cavities, as did I moving from my dentist practice in Fairfax Va from the time i was 15 to my new dentist in Rockville when I was 47. The reason for this it that the dentist you have gone to knows your teeth, they see changes in your teeth and they keep a watch and a record on it every 6 months or every time you go to the dentist. If it’s not getting bigger or worse they are not going to fill it and charge you for something you didn’t necessarily need to have done at the time. Your new dentist wants to fill every little speck they see in your mouth . .

. . they don’t know your teeth they don’t know that the little speck on your tooth has been there for 10 years and hasn’t gotten any bigger. To the mother who wrote that review about Dr. Orlando, I suggest YOU try a different dentist and see what that new dentist tells you about your teeth . . .

. . you will have the same thing that happened to your daughter happen to you. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Orlando. She is a great dentist, very patient and took great care of my daughters dental needs.

please for the love of god do not take your kids here. dr orlando was my dentist all through childhood and when i was 15 I had blackened spots two of my back molars. she asked if I had “eaten blueberries that morning” and when I said no she said it was normal.

I ended up going to a different dentist because I had heard bad things about dr orlando and it turned out I had four really bad cavities. she’s super nice but clearly doesn’t do her job.
