Dr. Ison and his team are AMAZING! I went to them for Braces and they did so well! They truly care about each and every one of their patients, and they are so kind.

They have a way of making you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door! Even with other Orthodontist offices closer in my area, it was worth making that little extra trip because they did so well. I 100% recommend them! They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best care!

I just finished the treatment, and I have to say I am happy with the results and the experience. I didn’t like that they’re always booked up and you had to schedule ahead of time. Otherwise, they’re very helpful and open.

I recently went in for a consultation for Braces with this orthodontic office. This was technically my second consultation, but the first was five years ago when I inquired about Invisalign—and I left that experience feeling rushed and not fully informed. I decided to give the office another try, and I’m glad I did—at least initially. From the moment I walked in, the front office staff was friendly and welcoming. The doctor this time around was much more thorough, took time to answer my questions, and made me feel comfortable about the process. That part of the experience was great and gave me hope that things had improved. Unfortunately, things took a turn when I met with the financial coordinator, Christy.

Her demeanor was flat and unapproachable. When I inquired about advertised promotions or payment plans (such as the $100/month plan I had seen online), her response was, “I don’t know what they have online or in the ads. ” “Other options require a credit check. ” She immediately asked if I could pay the full $4,900 upfront, and when I explained that wasn’t feasible, she briefly mentioned a low down payment and monthly plan in a way that felt dismissive. She didn’t follow up with any additional options, didn’t ask if I had more questions, and didn’t attempt to schedule a follow-up appointment. Her attitude came across as irritated and unhelpful, and it left me feeling very unwelcome. Ultimately, I decided to go with Castelli, Shanker & Associates instead.

While my down payment and monthly payments are slightly higher there, the professionalism, kindness, and thoroughness of their team made the choice an easy one. As an adult pursuing braces, feeling supported and respected in the process is incredibly important—and they delivered that from the start. I’m scheduled to get my braces on June 23, and my scan is this Friday. I share my experience in hopes that it helps others feel empowered to choose providers who value them. And to Christy, if you happen to read this, I truly hope you reflect on how your approach affects patients. A little patience, empathy, and professionalism goes a long way—especially when dealing with people’s health and finances.
