My son had the BEST experience at our last visit. Sonia is the kindest, most caring and empathetic hygienist that we have seen so far. The office staff is honestly the most amazing crew ever. Dr Emily Trohatos you are one of a kind. Incredible, amazing, caring I could go on and on. Love these guys. Thank you for all you do. ❤️

Horrible experience, truly awful. I was in grade 9 and initially told I would have braces for 1 year. They kept them on for 5 years, only taking them off because I demanded to be done with them.

I took care of the braces, had them tightened when they wanted, avoided foods that were supposed to be avoided. Just speculation at this point but I feel that because it was covered through benefits they kept them on to make extra profit.

I had a great experience with the Treatment Coordinator and other staff members during my first appointment. However, after visiting multiple orthodontists to get quotes, I can confidently say that Dr. Sara Lalani (the orthodontist) was not thorough at all in explaining what was wrong with my teeth or how she could help fix it.

She simply came in, said my teeth were crowded, and mentioned that the process would take about 1–2 years. I didn’t receive any explanation of why this was the case or how Invisalign could help me specifically. In contrast, at other clinics, I spent much more time with the orthodontists, who conducted a thorough exam and explained in detail how Invisalign would address my current issues—along with reasons why these issues should be treated.

While the quotes from the clinics were all roughly the same, within a few hundred dollars, I would highly recommend shopping around and finding an orthodontist you trust. Although my case was relatively minor, I was quoted $7,000–$7,200.

I’m disappointed with my experience at Orthodontics on Danforth. While some of the staff were courteous, the follow-up care lacked consistency and clear communication. The contract was printed in very small font, making it difficult to read and fully understand. I also struggled to get clear answers to my questions, and receiving invoices with the necessary information for my insurance claims was a constant challenge — resulting in frustrating delays with reimbursements. The lack of organization and communication led to an overwhelming number of email exchanges with various staff members — and honestly, no one wants to deal with that.

When I asked to increase my monthly payments in order to pay off the balance more quickly, I was told there would be an additional fee — a charge I couldn’t find anywhere in the contract. The financial manager, coldly stated, “Dr. Throatos doesn't keep clients who don't want to be treated by her,” to explain that the fee was in case I chose to leave the clinic — which I eventually did. Her attitude came across as dismissive and unprofessional. To her credit, Dr.

Throatos did try to help, but the ongoing administrative issues kept piling up. I truly wish I had felt more supported throughout the process. Unfortunately, I cannot confidently recommend this clinic.
