Doctor Abate is patient calming and very gentle. He makes me feel "right at home". Very accommodating with pricing since my insurance is horrible and doesn't cover much. I come all the way from Shelby Twp to see him.

I absolutely DO NOT trust them and their advise. Dr. Ortisi had told me I would need a crown on two of my front teeth, due to the multiple fillings and root canals he stated to me "insurance will have absolutely no problem paying for this" Well, turns out that was the wrong call. After multiple reviews through the insurance company (by other dentists), it has not been paid for.

And therefore I am stuck with a 500$ bill that was supposed to be the insurance portion due to the misguidance from Dr. Ortisi. The other dentists that reviewed my case said it was the wrong call and therefore insurance would not pay. It has always been of upmost importance to me to have doctors/dentists I can trust, and I would definitely never go back here or trust his advice!

My first visit with Dr. Ortisi I expected a cleaning, waited a very long time for the dentist and only had xrays and an exam done. Didn't even look at all of my concerns. I was scheduled for a cleaning and a filling.

They had all of my insurance benefits wrong, thank God I knew to review my benefits before coming so I already knew that was not correct. The second problem was constantly calling to reshedule/move my appointments. I had to wait 2 months to get back in, and ended up calling to cancel that appointment as well. The last visit they said I was all done and just to come back in for my root canal, well that was not correct I still had a filling that needed to be taken care of.

If you go here expect to have wrong information given to you, make sure you look at your care plan and keep track of what is completed because they forget, and also expect to have you appointment moved a lot. Another thing that I found out is that they bill more than other dentists in the area. Overall, not a good experience. I should of trusted my gut with this one !

Dr. Abate really cares about his patients. He has done a lot for me over the years and really takes care of me when I need it the most. In the past other Dentist have quickly tried to pull my teeth, but Dr. Abate saved them. I will never forget that. He truly wants what is best for his patients and I am thankful to have met him so many years ago. Even if there was a gap in between seeing him. .

. he always remembers who I am. This Doctor is 1 of the best in his practice. He is kind, gentle, compassionate, smart and honest. I am truly greatful I found him. He is the only Dentist I can really trust. I highly recommend Dr. Abate for your dental needs.
