Our experience with Overby Orthodontics was exceptional. Our daughter was tentative about the visit and the Doctor was very patient and endearing with her. She said she liked him the minute we left the office. My husband and I had some questions as well and both the staff and doctor were very patient and well informed and handled our inquiries well.

Not saying the work done is bad, just that they messed up at the end. Brackets were scheduled to come off and the last month one bracket was not connected due to a plastic fastener not working. But instead of checking one last time before taking off brackets etc, they said it was okay and just removed them. I did not know what to expect since this was first time getting braces. But my smile was nice, but very very uncomfortable. I have had to let my teeth settle and get new retainers made.

Tooth pain under k9 teeth due to top and bottom hitting there only with no other teeth touching when I bite. Its been a while, but I am constantly reminded that I will need to shell out more money someday to have a comfortable, pain-free smile. (so thought I'd at least speak my word) The doc does fine and does a great job. Its just that things got sloppy and did not get completed. A few more months with the braces would have made all the difference.

The doctor is really nice and very professional. The office staffs are okay. But before you make a long commitment to have braces done here, parents should be aware that their Rochester Office doesn't open everyday and it closes at 4 PM in the afternoon. We had a few emergencies happened ( the wire came out or loose) in the last two years and we felt it's hard to get immediately support either because the Rochester office was not open or they didn't have time to see us after school. At one point, they asked us travel to Austin to fix the problem.

Most recently, one of the staff even told us if we couldn't come during school hour, then my son should wear retainer 24hr everyday to prevent he accidently swallow it and wait until next appointment which he could come afterschool, but is 2 months away. Very inconvenience for working parents and kids who has heavy school work load. I will not have my other kids come there.
