Dr La Vigne is a pleasure to deal with. He filled two cavities that I had and didn't make me feel bad or talk down to me at all for neglecting my teeth for a few months about which I was really self conscious about. I highly recommend his office to anyone.

I live 6 hours from palatine, but drove there to have molar extracted. There are dentists here but none i trust like Dr Lavigne. He is knowledgeable: skilled in dental proceedures as well as listener/communicator. Always he goes above and beyond to make sure i am ready emotionally, mentally and physically comfortable as well as all numbed up. He is skilled at making injection close to painless. Prenumbing the area of injection and knowledge of how to distribute the lidocaine using needle in areas already numb. He allows rest periods, knowing jaws wide open can be uncomfortable, as well as the wiggling of tooth in socket to bring it to place it can be extracted whole, not in pieces. He is very patient.
Great written instructions for the healing process with expectations of how healing should occur. And a senior discount! All in all making a necessary procedure a good time together. He is also very kind to young dental assistants that seem to come and go- who need instructions to assist proceduraly. He has updated knowledge and equipment, as well as technology. Don't be put off by office waiting area that has old carpet, bathroom and is not not dirty but certainly not the sterile feeling newer facilities strive for. I trust Dr LaVigne's knowledge and application of sterile technique in his work area/equipment. No books/magazines/people post covid in waiting area. Bring your own.
He has allows ample time between patients. It takes few minutes when you arrive to prepare for YOU. Comfortable temperature in both waiting room and office. Inoffensive music on. Thank you Dr. LaVigne! This was a home run! (Go Red Barons)

Dr. LaVigne is the very best I’ve been a patient for 30 years and he has always been kind and caring. Whenever I’ve had an emergency he always sees me even if he’s had to stay late. He consistently asks how I’m doing during any procedure
