I don't know what my family and I would do without Dr. James, Missy, and staff! I have moved my whole family to Palmetto Smile Center. They treat us like family and take our insurances. I highly recommend Palmetto Smile!

My first visit to the office was to have a capped tooth looked at. After a discussion I was told that my insurance would need to pre-authorize the work. Not uncommon, but this can easily be done on-line or via a phone call. I was told to bring the pre-authorization letter to the office and the repair would be scheduled. Please note, this discussion started during an emergency appointment. I called my insurance provider myself the next day to see if the pre-authorization process could be sped up.

My insurance company informed me the dental office had not submitted anything yet. They also asked me to request the dental office to submit everything on line. I called the dental office and they do not submit anything on-line but via mail, and their process averaged 30 days to complete. Newberry is limited in dental options but it is worth the drive to go to a surrounding community.

They moved my appointment up without telling me and then cancelled it when I was "late" even though I showed up 20 minutes earlier than my original time. Very very unprofessional office and staff. Would not recommend.
