Detailed Introduction

Pampering Smiles is a dental practice located at 5833 Allentown Rd, Camp Springs, MD 20746, led by Dr. Gaile E. Hurdle, DDS. Dr. Hurdle, a native Californian, earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Spelman College and her DDS from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1998. Following her graduation, she completed an Advanced General Dentistry Program and gained valuable experience working in various dental environments, including for the prison systems in Baltimore and Hagerstown, Maryland. Dr. Hurdle established Pampering Smiles in Camp Springs in 1997, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to the local community. She specializes in dental implants, having received Laser Training and attended Implant Consortium from 2005 to 2008. The clinic prides itself on offering a wide array of dental services designed to meet the diverse needs of its patients, focusing on both oral health and aesthetic improvements. Their services encompass general dentistry (including cleanings, examinations, root canal treatments, and extractions), cosmetic dentistry (such as composite fillings, dental bonding, veneers, and professional teeth whitening), and implant dentistry (covering dental implant overview, procedures, and post-op care). They also provide denture services and offer Invisalign as an alternative to traditional braces. Pampering Smiles emphasizes a patient-centric approach, aiming to create a pleasant and stress-free experience for every visitor. The practice is known for its friendly and highly experienced staff, state-of-the-art environment, and a commitment to educating patients on proper oral hygiene and empowering them to make informed decisions about their dental health. They welcome new patients and strive to ensure comfort, even for those with dental anxiety, by offering a "spa-like" experience and prioritizing pain management. Patients consistently praise the professional, gentle, and caring nature of Dr. Hurdle and her team.

I visited this practice once to get an extraction, and I am done. Glenda, receptionist, is abrasive and rude. My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived at 1:20 with forms already completed and was not seen until 2:05. Glenda informed me Dr.

Hurdle was not at the office and would not return until 2:00. The reason for the delay? Glenda stated she did not anticipate me coming with my forms completed, so she embedded extra time! She apparently did not consider asking whether or not I would print froms from website and bring them already completed. The hygienist, though pleasant, required three tries to take an x-ray of one tooth. Unnecessary radiation exposure. Dr.

Hurdle was pleasant but not apologetic about the appointment-scheduling faux pas. She also insisted on taking panoramic x-rays and having me consent to doing 4 special cleaning procedures as a new patient. At that point, I had not decided if she was going to be my provider, so I declined both. I practice great dental hygiene and get twice yearly cleanings, so I didn't need these "extra" (read: more costly) procedures.

straight money heist! I use to go here. I received cleanings & got my braces here. I recently transferred to a better dentist & learned that my insurance was being over charged for the services I received which lead to me always having an out of pocket expense. within 6mnths I had exhausted my insurance & was forced to pay out of pocket for simple cleanings. Glenda acts like she’s the owner and can be very rude out of the mouth. The other staff act as though they are scared of Dr.

Hurdle. if you can I would suggest going somewhere else. I feel like her core customers are mostly elderly who probably have huge insurance policies that she can max out on. Dr. Hurdle is cool but after reading so many negative reviews about Glenda, I’d suggest she make some changes to save her customer service.

First time I have had a dentist place a warm cloth over my face and massage the numb areas after a procedure. It felt so nice. I felt like I was in a spa. Dr. Hurdle bedside manner reminds me of being back home in Alabama. She is very attentive. Front desk, very nice, patient and attentive as well.

My husband and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with practice. I have been with Dr. Gale Hurdle, DDS for over 5 yrs. We travel from DC to Camp Springs to the best dentist ever. Dr. Hurdle always take time with us and inform us of our problem and give us the choice on how our problems could be corrected/fixed. She always give us that personal professional attention and care, which is needed in this field. You know like we know going to a dentist makes you erie.

but her bedside manner makes you feel easy and comfortable. Her staff is outstanding too. I truly admire Glenda for her calmness, professional attitude in all situations. I know this could be a stressful job at times, because I have worked in the medical field for over 25 yrs. In the front office in the surgery rooms and alone physicians, made apptmts and ect. My husband and I are fortunate to have been referred to a Great and wonderful Dentist. 😁
