My experience here was really upsetting. While the clinical work itself ultimately healed, I want to share what actually happened so others know what to expect. I came in with severe pain after work. Dr. Mansoor told me an oral surgeon was coming to operate on my wisdom teeth. I was numbed and sat waiting in the chair, assuming that plan was in place. But suddenly he just started operating on my upper tooth, without explaining that the oral surgeon was no longer coming. I had to stop him, with his hands already in my mouth, to ask what was happening and where the surgeon was. At this point, I had already paid thinking that an oral surgeon would be operating on me.
At that point, I was sort of trapped: What else am I going to do? Dr. Mansoor's operation itself was incredibly painful. He ended up giving me a Xanax. He had to pause mid-surgery to take an X-ray and consult with the oral surgeon remotely about a nerve. At this point, I was shaking and crying from the way they were handling me, holding me down. He couldn't get the tooth out, so did a coronectomy. The whole thing felt unprepared and chaotic, not safe. The plan (widsom tooth extraction + coronectomy) was appropriate, and the healing was fine. Though when I did have some tooth pain about 7 months later, it took his office two full months to send me my records (X-rays + operating notes) after I requested them (March 15 to May 15).
I saw, because admin was forward internal emails, that they were going back and forth asking permission to send me my pre- and post- op X-rays (invariably, I paid for 3 and yet they only sent me 2, but I gave up emailing). All of this was really frustrating while I was trying to figure out follow-up care with another dentist, who told me that the entire situation with Park Ave Dental was handled very poorly. I've been thinking about the lack of proper informed consent about who was operating, and the barbaric (I do not use this word lightly) way the procedure was handled since. Fair warning: I think Dr. Mansoor is a good person, but it was really traumatic. I had never understood why people hate going to the dentist before.

I had an excellent experience at this dental office! I had an emergency and needed to come in at 9pm, and they were so accommodating. The staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. The dentist was skilled and took care of my issue quickly.
I'm grateful for their help and would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for quality care, even during late hours.
