If there was a half star rating for Park Dental in Cottage Grove, they would have gotten it instead of a full one star review. Dr. Kerr basically has no "bed side manner", so to speak. For the first time in many years I finally have good dental insurance. So yeah and with everyday brushing my teeth were and still are in bad shape. Dr. Kerr wanted nothing to do with me. Instead he had the receptionist set up an appointment with the dental hygienist for me to get a deep cleaning. During the cleaning, she wasn't able to complete it because my bottom two molars on my left side were way too sensitive. She called Kerr in to check it out. Again, he blew me off.
As a result and with him having the cleaning performed before the work that really needed to be done. . . DONE, the cost of the deep cleaning ate up ALL of my insurance. Now I have to wait until January before I can get my teeth fixed because I don't have the extra $1,500 sitting around. Too boot, I'm still walking around with painful and sensitive teeth. Dr. Kerr knew very well this would happen. The kicker. . .
I get an estimate from Park Dental in the mail today pretty much telling me that I'll have to pay out of my own pocket if I want the much needed work done. So. . . come January, you can bet the farm that I am NOT going back there. A friend and coworker referred me to the dentist that they go to. I will be going to that dentist instead. If you're looking for a dentist that treats you right, performs the work that's needed regardless of how bad your teeth are, I strongly urge you to NOT go here.

Everyone at this office was kind and helpful. My hygienist Jasha was the bomb. Never knew that the water jet tool could be so pleasant. My face is usually soaked and gums accompanied with infrequent pain but NOT this time!

Very nice and friendly! I had a wonderful cleaning and they assured me that I didn’t have any cavities. However, this has nothing to do with attitude and instead with service. While the cleaning was thorough it was very messy. Not that I mind much, stuff happens. My big concern is that while flossing, she flossed my back molars and ended up simultaneously flossing my front bottom teeth.
I have a permanent retainer and that action broke the wire between two teeth, leaving a glob of glue and wire on one of my teeth that now pokes my tongue. Even if I wanted to get this fixed, I would have to schedule with an orthodontist, of which I do not have one in this state, and they would have to remove the entire retainer and put a new one in, which is money I do not have. My only hope now is to get the glue and wire shaved off and wear a plastic retainer, which usually costs about 500 dollars to make. So, while friendly, not the best experience :/

Walked out today. Last time I go here. New dentist every visit. Treat me like a brand new patient everytime. Charge me for X-rays every visit, new dentist every visit. My family and I are moving on. Thanks for being the worst dentist I’ve ever had. I should have left sooner. Any other dentist would score higher.
