We have been so impressed with the staff and service at Payne Orthodontics! Dr Payne is so thorough and makes sure everything is PERFECT! You can tell he truly loves his patients and his staff. I also thought about getting braces (I'm the mom) and he was so honest in telling me I only needed trays and walked me through all options. We will definitely be bringing all of our kids here!

I’ve come here twice for orthodontic treatment. The first time was in 2012 and I had a fine experience, got my braces off in about 6 months. No issues. Came back about 8 years later since I had a good first experience and my teeth had begun to shift. I continued getting IPR every appt even though my teeth weren’t moving together. Dr Payne would be in there for 3-5 min tops and always told them to shave my teeth more, completely missing that there were already gaps/space to be filled.

Now I have gaps in between my molars in the back and my lower front teeth are so skinny. They take on more patients than they can handle which was overly apparent. Getting an appointment was difficult, every appt you could guarantee a full waiting room, you’d be waiting at least 10-15 min past your appt time and be there at least an hour. I had a couple of issues with the assistants where they either wouldn’t tie the bracket properly or adhered the bracket in the wrong position resulting in additional visits and incredibly painful adjustments of my teeth to get them back in position. My last straw was when I called in today to schedule an appt to have some glue reapplied to my retainer (it’s still attached, I just want more glue so it’s more secure and doesn’t break off), I was told it would be $100 since I haven’t been in in over a year. Sure, I guess I understand a fee, but $100 for what would take 5 min at most and very minimal materials? Outrageous considering I’ve been a patient multiple times spanning over a decade.

The fee should be fitting for the work being done, not just a flat $100 fee. It’s obvious their top priority is money and I wish I never gave them any of mine. I called my dentist and he’s fixing it for free. This is the difference between a dentist that cares for his patients vs a dentist that prioritizes money.

Everyone is very nice and personable! I updated my ratings because the wait time is so much better! We get in pretty quickly every time now. Not overcrowded like it used to be. If you lose a bracket or a wire comes loose, it’s so hard to get in! It’s like stabbing your cheek for several days while you hope someone cancels and try to operate yourself from home. They only squeeze you in if you’re new and haven’t signed a contract.

They have 3 locations so they aren’t open half the time in the location you need. I think we came here because it was a little cheaper.

Dr. Payne and his staff have been amazing! He is a perfectionist and my daughter’s smile is beautiful! I am currently in braces as an adult and have had a wonderful experience as well. They communicate well and are very professional. I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for ortho work.
