I lost a tooth that Dr Kolpakov had put a crown on. Something was wrong with that crown from day 1. I kept getting constant gum inflammation around this crown, could not eat any not soft and homogenized food. Dr Kolpakov refused to replace the crown saying it was perfect. Instead he changed filling on the neighboring tooth 3 times assuring me that it would resolve the problem with the bad crown. It did not. Some time later, dentist Kolpakov discovered that the crown was loose and the tooth decayed under the crown. Only solution was to extract the tooth and put an implant in. "Nice job" for installing a crown to save a tooth.
No, I was not seeing another doctor as Mr Kolpakov stated in his reply. I went to another doctor to extract the tooth 4 years after the crown was placed. Mr Kolpakov said he did not do anything wrong. I say he did not do anything right. Yes, he kept all money he charged for his work. He was also recommended to me by a person who did not get any services from him but knew him through Russian speaking community. Apparently, Mr Kolpakov has very high opinion of anything he does. The choice is yours if you want him to be your dentist. I moved on with my life, Mr Kolpakov.
But when people ask recommendations for a dentist, I can not recommend you. I still don't understand, if you did nothing wrong, why I was suffering for 4 years with constant gum immflamation I never had before you placed the crown. And why tooth was decaying under the crown? And why you did not do anything about it but advised me to use water floss and antibacterial rinse for years? I have no doubt that the records for the board review reflected your story of impeccable work, not my story of suffering and concerns that I kept bringing to your attention. Unfortunately, medical malpractices cases have 3 years time limit. You failed as a good dentist but have audacity to tell that I am spreading lies about your "excellent services". Not even simple apology on your behalf.
