The clinic is primarily led by Dr. Jacob Myers, affectionately known as Dr. Jake by his patients, and Dr. Jenn. Both are Board Certified Pediatric Dentists, having completed additional specialized training in children's dentistry beyond dental school. Dr. Myers graduated from Michigan State University and Indiana University School of Dentistry, completing his pediatric dental residency at Women's and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, among other distinguished organizations. The practice is dedicated to providing a child-friendly environment, ensuring that both children and parents feel at ease. They emphasize preventive care, recommending a child's first dental visit by age one or within six months of their first tooth eruption. Services offered include routine dental exams and cleanings, radiographs (X-rays) using the latest minimal exposure technology, and preventative treatments like sealants and fluoride application. They also provide comprehensive restorative care, utilizing cosmetic, tooth-colored, silver-free, mercury-free, and BPA-free filling materials. For anxious children or those requiring extensive procedures, the clinic offers various sedation options, including nitrous oxide, intravenous (IV) sedation by an anesthesiologist, and general anesthesia, prioritizing the child's safety and comfort. Pediatric Dentistry of East Lansing is also equipped to address specific pediatric dental concerns such as tongue and lip ties, utilizing a state-of-the-art CO2 laser for tissue removal. The team focuses on patient education, helping children and parents understand effective oral hygiene practices. Dr. Myers is actively involved in the community, serving on staff at Sparrow Hospital and volunteering at their cleft lip and palate clinic, as well as being an adjunct faculty member at the University of Michigan's Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The clinic aims to build long-term relationships with patients, fostering positive dental experiences that encourage healthy oral habits throughout adulthood.

If I could give zero stars I would! They won't see a special needs child if they are over 6 so if you just move to this town with a special needs child an they are over 6 they can't be seen so my autistic son who is 9 an scared of the dentist can't be seen! Never ever have I ever had a office that is for special needs Children tell me my son can't be helped! Horrible horrible office! They have bad reviews for a reason an others are right they pick an choose who they want to help

It’s so wild too me that your child can’t be seen if they aren’t fully vaccinated! You have no idea why a parent would refrain from giving their child any vaccine. They’re the sickest ones!

It came to my attention that my 8 year old was being seen by Dentist Jacob Myers. I contacted the office to find out that my ex-wife set this up without my consent "permission". I tried to explain this to manager "Lisa" and that I had some questions about what was going on and explained very clearly to "Lisa" that I was not getting the same information. I shared with them that I was not comfortable and would it be ok to speak to the Dentist and or get a second opinion. They weeks later went ahead and did the procedure on my son anyway. I spoke to the Dentist and to Lisa and explained to them how on earth could this happen! I share 50 percent physical and legal custody of my child and this was unbelievable.

I have contact the State of Michigan and have reported this office to the Better Business Bureau. I pray this never happens again to any family and their child. 'Lisa" played like I did something to her as the victim in this case. It was sad to listen to.
