Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) is a cornerstone of community healthcare in Kitsap, Mason, and rural Pierce Counties in Western Washington. Established in 1987 as a community clinic in Bremerton and becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 1995, PCHS is committed to eliminating healthcare disparities by providing high-quality, accessible, and affordable health and wellness services. PCHS operates multiple clinic locations, including the Belfair Clinic at 31 NE State Route 300, Suite 200, Belfair, WA 98528. This integrated clinic offers a wide range of services under one roof, including comprehensive medical care (physical examinations, immunizations, family planning, chronic disease management, minor procedures, newborn and well-child care), dental services (preventive care, oral examinations, restorative treatment, emergency care, specialized infant and child dental care), behavioral health counseling (depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorder treatment including Medication-Assisted Treatment like Suboxone), and on-site pharmacy services. They also provide health education and promotion activities, nutrition assistance, and support services to connect patients with community resources like housing and employment. PCHS emphasizes a patient-centered, integrated care approach, where medical, dental, and behavioral health providers collaborate to create comprehensive treatment plans. They offer telehealth options and have a fleet of mobile clinics and school-based health centers to reach vulnerable and isolated populations, including those experiencing homelessness.
