Usually my experience was good until my last appointment. The lady who was doing my teeth. She tells me my teeth are irritated after She scraps with her tool. I brush my teeth before I went they didn't look irritated. Of course my gums are irritated because of the tool she was using. She used a needle to numb my teeth, this is not my first time being at a dentist I know there was a gentle oppion.

I was crying the whole time while she was working on my mouth. I've never had a doctor telling me at a certain age the denial work will get more intense until that appointment. I am now afraid to be going to the next dentist appointment. I am usually not afraid but that was a painful experience.

Update: The tooth I was in the emergency appointment for months for (that they said could wait and then proceeded to cancel multiple times on me for) broke in half. I was in so much pain and was now abroad. The dentist in this country was able to see me within two days and were so helpful. I had to have most of the tooth removed and a filling and crown placed. This could’ve been prevented had I had proper care when I needed it. . . I have been trying to get seen for almost a year.

I got an emergency appointment a few months back because I told them I’m in a lot of pain. After waiting months for my emergency appointment, the dentist spent less than 10 seconds in my mouth before telling me I’ll be fine until an actual appointment. For reference I have a LOT of cavities (perks of growing up poor) and I’ve been trying to get them all worked on so I won’t be in pain anymore. They have cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled, rescheduled, etc ever since and I haven’t been seen since. The last time they cancelled was a few days before my appointment. I can’t afford to go elsewhere and despite brushing and flossing everyday, my cavities are growing it’s been awful. My other two critiques. The dentist shamed me for my teeth despite not knowing I didn’t have the resources until these past few years to take care of them properly.

And I don’t mean telling me bluntly what’s going on with my teeth, I mean actively making me feel bad for it by telling me I wouldn’t be sitting in her chair if I would just brush my teeth (again… I do everyday). And the other additional issue was a woman I kept getting when calling to set up an appointment. She was nice but she would mess up the appointment and end up calling me back multiple times in the following days to fix her error. This alone wouldn’t be the worst, but she also would talk to me about her personal life and the phone calls would end up upwards of 30 minutes entirely because of that. I just found a new cavity and I’m heartbroken that I’ve had this much trouble with something that’s this painful. I just want my teeth to be as healthy as they can be and this experience has been so exhausting. .

I needed a second opinion because the first dentist I went to in Gig Harbor wanted $1300. 00 just to pull one tooth that was broken. I knew that it was way too much money for what needed to be done. So I came here Peninsula Dental Clinic. We discussed my situation, and I was impressed with the professionalism and care that I received. I was told that I needed an extraction, which I already knew, but the price is more in line with my budget than the first dentist.

At Peninsula Dental Clinic, they were more concerned with repairing, saving my teeth than seeing how much they can charge me. I was looked at as a patient rather than a pocketbook. I know what I needed to be done, but more importantly, I needed options to make a better informed decision. I'm very pleased with the Peninsula Dental Clinic because they allow me to do so. 😄😄😄 There are seven (7) locations I can choose from for my Dental needs. CHECK THEM OUT!

I've had to go for back, to back, to back appointments and have had a wonderful experience each time! Dr. Xuan Duong is an amazing dentist and took such good care of me each time. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time, went through the procedure and what to expect before, during, and after very time.

The staff is very friendly and do what they can to get me seen in as timely of a manner that is plausible for them. This is the best clinic I have been to in Kitsap county, and I appreciate that they take state insurance!
