I have been very disappointed in the office. My daughter went in for impacted wisdom teeth. I was told at the inital assesment when I asked about insurance coverage  "there would be no problem and that they would cover  $1600. 00".   That I would pay the office and my insurance would send me a check. When I asked if they could run it through insurance to make sure I was told "their was no way to do that until the procedure was complete" . I later found out from insurance that should've been done first. I was told "we do this all the time".   We came back the day of the procedure and I asked again if insurance was good to go and was assured yet again it was all good "you pay us and they will send you a check for 1600. 00" and "we do this all the time". I've never used this insurance for anything other than cleaning prior. So I charged it to my card  thinking it would be a few weeks and all would be fine.

Its been months and nothing has been paid.   Ive called the insurance and the office back and forth trying to get it fixed. They haven't worked toward a solution without me calling and asking them to send differnt forms or file it this way or do this or that. Giving time between for them to do what they need too and not harassing. The insurance has been wonderful.   They told me to have the office file under health insurance because dental doesn't cover impacted teeth and that being an office that files insurance claims regularly "they should have known that already". They told me what forms to have the office send them ect.   Its been months with no resolution. The insurance company told me if they had filled out one form prior to the procedure it could have been covered. This was very disappointing to hear. Ive left messages and the office doesn't return my calls anymore. Ive been nice and patient whever I have called them.

I found out from my insurance that they would have never covered 1600 to start with and if the office staff had of been honest I could have went to a provider just a few minutes away that would have covered 80% of the expense. Currently I have paid the whole1600 and didn't have it to pay.   I feel was not my fault.   I asked what I knew too and was reassured not only at the appointments but in subsequent phone calls everything was great it was just a hold up. I felt the doctors were knowledgeable, and helpful even after when she had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics.   I just want others to be aware so they don't have this issue. I feel I was mislead and I hope this saves others from this happening to them. Don't take there word at the desk ask them to back it up with documents from insurance and if they can't walk out. I wish I could go back in time and do that. Sincerely Kristina Durnil
