Awesome I needed an emergency appointment for an infection around my tooth. I was able to call in and schedule the appt for the next day. Unfortunately, my car wouldn't start from the horrible weather conditions. I called them back to reschedule and was able to make it in that same day for a later appt. When I got there I didn't have a chance to sit down because they called me right back. I loved that, especially because I was a half hour early. I was in a substantial amount of pain and they numbed me right up. The dental assistant was very pleasant and kept me smiling and laughing the whole time.

. . (did I mention I hate dental appts?) The doctor was very busy, but took his time to answer all my questions. After the appt, I got everything I needed to feel comfortable at home. Even when my insurance wouldn't cover a medication, he spent time to get me something to help. I had this procedure yesterday, and I feel so much better and very little pain. Give them a try, I am so relieved!

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. VERY POOR QUALITY OF CARE. My husband I had a terrible experience at Dent-Al Smiles of Shadyside. I would avoid this office at all costs! My husband received a filling from a dentist who was talking the whole procedure to the hygienist and not paying attention. He caused major damage to my husbands's tooth an he now has to get a root canal. We have of course switched dentist.

Another terrible problem was that the main dentist was AWOL for six months. When my husband showed up for an appointment with the dentist, no office staff had even bothered to let him know the dentist was out of the country by rescheduling the appointment. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. VERY POOR QUALITY OF CARE.

Been there more than once. Staff is very conscientious and attentive. Admin desk is very organized and friendly. Saw different DMDs each time and both were candid, practical, and did very good work.

I've had bad BAD experiences at other places and I highly recommend this practice. (I think the name Dent-Al Smiles is utterly STUPID but don't judge a medical office by the corporate name). 5 stars easy.
