UPDATE: they finally sent the reimbursement, after a year and a half. I don't believe they ever tried to be deceptive. I do think there were serious staff/procedural errors in place that made us have a poor experience. Two of the staff members that were mainly involved in my case are no longer with the company. They have assured me they have had staff meetings to discuss all that went wrong with my case and how to do better for future customers. They did constantly tell me a different story than what my insurance company was telling me. Make sure you talk with your insurance agency too, when pinnacle says they've talked with insurance: follow up yourself so you can hear it from them and keep both parties accountable. I do believe them that they will do better for future customers based on the way the owner has reacted to hearing my situation. I am going to leave the original review up still.

Because, while my experience doesn't seem to be the norm here, that is what happened to me, and I don't want it to happen to anyone else. - here is the original review: This has been the WORST healthcare/business experience of my life. The only reason I elected to have my procedures done with them is based on the previous good reviews they had. My experience has not been at all good. Long story short, every department has done a TERRIBLE job. The procedure it self was not very effective and did not accomplish the goals they set out to do, in addition to what they said would be a 30 minute procedure taking 2. 5 hours. They give you a 10% discount if you pay in full up front, which sounds nice when they are charging you $3000 dollars. The problem is they then had all my money and no incentive to correctly document and submit to insurance for out of network coverage.

I called them 6 times over 8 months in order for them to finally submit adequately what my insurance company was asking for. Then once the insurance did reimburse the service, they canceled the payment, and sent the money back to the insurance instead of to me. The insurance then called them back and said this is their money please send it to the customer. Now for some reason it will take them 10 days to write a check before they can put it in the mail box, when they have already received my money. As a side note when I had my follow up they said they would clean my bottom four teeth for free, since plaque had built up after the surgery. Instead doing a free spot treatment, like they so “graciously” offered, they billed my insurance taking their money and taking away my cleaning that year, while the rest of my teeth were untouched. They say insurance companies are the bad guys and that they will never reimburse you. Yet Pinnacle took money from my insurance, and tried to cancel the reimbursements that the insurance was trying to forward to me.

They were professional, kind, and helpful in determining my need for a gum graft in my free consultation. While my insurance unfortunately did not coincide with them, I am very grateful for the help they gave me.

My husband received a gum graft and tongue tie procedure at Edmonds in April of 2023. The procedure ended up being over twice as long as they predicted. My husband was in horrible shape afterwards. The surgery was scarring for my husband to go through- awake, holding his mouth open, no lasers everything done by hand with scissors and blades, and my husband felt everything since there weren’t adequate painkillers given for the procedure he received. The periodontist was clearly worried when debriefing me afterwards, he even gave me his personal cell number and told me that it was the hardest surgery he had done. We had to scramble and get extra supplies post-surgery because edmunds didn’t set us up for the long and painful recovery he had to face. Now that things are healed, it’s clear that they didn’t do the best job either especially after consulting other professionals in the industry. . .

which is disappointing considering the price we paid for it! When coming back for a follow up, edmunds offered to give my husband a free cleaning on his bottom teeth to help with the gum graft recovery. They said it would be no cost to us, and it wasn’t. However, we found out later, when we tried to schedule a dental cleaning, that edmunds had billed our insurance without our consent. Mind you, they only cleaned the bottom four teeth so he wasn’t able to get a second cleaning last year. It has now been over a year and a half and we have received NO reimbursement for our horribly expensive surgery. The insurance has refunded them over half our money and we have not seen a dime of that. We have had to waste countless hours on the phone with edmunds trying to get our insurance reimbursement and we still have nothing, 18 months later. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after the amount of lies and deceit we have encountered, I would not recommend this company to anyone. It has been an absolute nightmare and I’m shocked by their lack of integrity.

UPDATE: Following the submission of this review, Dr. Edmunds reached out to my husband directly to issue an apology and promptly send us our refund check. We have now received the money that our insurance refunded Edmunds. In addition, Dr. Edmunds was courteous enough to refund us for a dental cleaning too. We appreciate the steps that have been taken to make amends.

I have had teeth problems for the majority of my life. I had originally went to white cap in heber city to have bone grafts done to get four implants placed. 1 of my implants failed four times and they basically told me there was nothing more they could do. I heard about pinnacle periodontics and decided to give them a try.

They have been incredible! The recovering time was so good and I wasn’t in pain like I was with my last implant placements. When I have had concerns they listen. They had no issues getting my implant to be successful. This had been the best experience I’ve ever had with anyone and I highly recommend them for your dental needs!!!!
