I was pleased when I had a phone call this morning so that I could get in and start my dental process ahead of my Scheduled appointment date. Everyone in the dental practice, From the receptionist, hygienist, Dr. Sydney, were kind and considerate and answered all questions that I had. Before I left, I had a complete estimate of my treatment plan.

I am very disappointed in this business. They claim to be family-oriented; however, they do not stand by their words and promises . My family and I had a regular teeth cleaning in February, and I was under the impression this was included in my dental plan and would be 100% covered. Come to find out in March, my insurance is out of network with Port Byron Family Dentistry.

They also took X-rays, which I was told would be 100% covered, and I discovered this is also a lie. When I arrived at the office, I presented my insurance information and was under the impression all services were in-network and 100% covered by my insurance. I found out I was misled, and Family dentist in Port Byron is out of network, and now I am expected to pay $477. I feel if the employees tell a patient their services are covered or will be covered by insurance, they, as a business, have a duty to uphold that promise.

Instead, the family dentist in Port Byron will tell their patients lies just so they can collect money.

I’m a little biased because my sister is the dentist but I always love going to see Tyler and the girls! They do such a good job and everyone is so so friendly and accommodating. They really know what they’re doing and truly care about their patients. I recommend them to anyone in need of a new dentist!
