The receptionists here were great and very kind to work with, however the insurance policy where they do not have to verify your insurance until 2 days prior to your appointment is very problematic. I verified with my dental insurance that Dr. Lysak was in-network and verified with the receptionists that they took my insurance when I made my appointment, but was told they do not have to officially verify your insurance until two days before your appointment. I have been waiting several months to be seen and due to life circumstances, moving, and insurance issues, I ended up buying a plane ticket to came back to Wisconsin for in-network appointments I have been waiting for.

Then, a week prior to my appointment, they finally checked my insurance and they told me they were actually out of network. Had I known this sooner, I would have been able to schedule with a different provider. Now I will likely have to wait 3+ more months to get into an in-network dental office. I’m very frustrated with their policy and it has kept me from receiving needed dental care.

If you are a new patient, I highly recommend having a back up plan because you cannot rely on them to actually be in-network and may end up waiting months just to be told you’ll have to pay full price.

The office atmosphere is friendly and geared toward customer comfort from the TVs with subtitles above you as a distraction to doctor Adam letting you pick your own music during longer procedures. I had to get a permanent retainer replaced from years ago. Doctor Adam explained everything thoroughly and was super flexible in getting me in immediately so my teeth wouldn’t shift much in the meantime.

When I had a sensitive filling, he did what he could to fix the problem and really listened to what I was feeling. I’m glad I found this dentist!

I have been going to Port Washington Family dentistry for about 4 years now. I cannot say enough positive things. The staff are wonderful. They always remember what I have going on in my life outside of the office. They give great referrals if outside work is needed. I feel comfortable going here and sending my family/friends here as well. Thanks for all your hard work! 5 Stars!

They advertise access to 24/7 emergency services, but when the time comes and you actually need said services, you find out they’re not actually offered. This lack of transparency led to pain, frustration, and several urgent care visits. It took them 6 days to call me back after I called them due to an emergency, and they said they might be able to see me tomorrow, hopefully.

A week after the emergency occurred.
