I absolutely do not recommend Potomac Crown Dentistry. I recently visited as a new patient. I consented to bitewing x-rays and advised that I only consented to a panoramic x-ray if it was covered by my insurance. The staff confirmed it was. Later I learned from my insurance provider that the x-ray was not covered by my insurance. Instead of contacting me to resolve the matter or discuss the situation, Potomac Crown Dentistry sent me an invoice and then billed my credit card on file without any further communication. This is extremely unprofessional and such a money grab.

Not only that, but the dentist I was briefly seen by, Dr. Bawa, was very pushy to complete Invisalign treatment. He repeatedly told me I should complete Invisalign treatment in his office, rather than under the care and treatment by an orthodontist, without even so much as looking at/inspecting my jaw and with only a very quick glance at my teeth. When I challenged him, and told him I had bite and jaw issues, he asked no questions, completed no evaluation or jaw inspection, and said "yes, you should do it here, you don't need bands". I have been seen by 3 separate, independent, legitimate orthodontists who actually evaluated and inspected my jaw issues, and strongly advised I need bands and more than a standard Invisalign treatment. When I told Dr. Bawa this, he still was pushing me to complete the treatment in his office without bands.

Honestly, it felt so scammy, I couldn't get out of the office quick enough. He didn't actually care about my dental needs, he was just trying to make a quick buck off me on Invisalign. Given how I was treated by Dr. Bawa and the administrative staff, i would highly not recommend Potomac Crown Dentistry. I have reached out to their team regarding my billing issue and will revise this review if they handle appropriately.

If you're looking for an amazing dental team, give Potomac Crown a try - you won't regret it! The office's ambiance quickly makes you forget you're at the dentist with relaxing colors and sounds, very spa-like. It's a very well-kept and high-tech office. The front desk staff is friendly, welcoming, and resourceful. I received my cleaning from Becky, and her hands were magical.

Dr. Bawa listened to my dental concerns as a new patient and put my mind at ease. I'm certain the Potomac Crown Dentistry team values their patients based on my 1st experience, and I look forward to my next cleaning.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and excellent customer service of the office staff, the dentist, and dental hygienist. I don't have Dental Insurance, but the office offers their own coverage which saved me a lot of money. I highly recommend them!
