To everyone that needs a great oral surgeon or has a dental emergency… Progressive Oral surgery is the best in the state of NY. I’ve mostly seen Dr. Hanna and he is an amazing oral surgeon.

He is very knowledgeable, empathetic, professional and accommodating. There were few times I saw other oral surgeons and they are also fantastic at that practice. I HIGHLY recommend Progressive Oral Surgery!

I recently had a very disappointing call regarding scheduling my dental extraction. The representative was not only unfriendly and rude but also provided very limited options for my procedure. Given the significance of this surgery, I needed the scheduling to be precise, including the date, time, and doctor, all of which were met with irritation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially considering the significant financial investment patients make for dental procedures.

Customer service representatives should be friendly, helpful, and accommodating. After all, we are entrusting our health and finances to this process, and we expect a high standard of care and communication. The front desk and customer service staff must prioritize customer needs and provide a welcoming experience.

I got 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted September 2024 and ever since then (it has been 4 months) I have not been able to feel the left side of my tongue, as it has been numb ever since. Being a full time student and working FT too, this has been extremely hard to navigate through especially while trying to work in cohesion with the staff that works at these facilities. Shortly after my extraction, I called this office to let them know I was still have pain after the suggested date that the pain would stop. Instead of relaying this information to the doctor, the front desk did not and essentially told me to deal with the pain. I needed an 800mg ibuprofen & steroid to bring down the inflammation of my tongue because it was puffy and fat FOR WEEKS after taking my wisdom tooth out. Even now I still feel random sharp pains that feel like pins and needles while not being able to fully feel my tongue! Dr. Gene Pezzollo isn’t a bad doctor. He has shown care towards me and has seen me every time I’ve had an emergency. I was grateful for his ability to see me through the hurdles of his staff and he was able to address my concerns.

The ADMIN STAFF AT THESE FACILITIES ARE ABSOLUTELY FREAKING HORRIBLE. Very incompetent. I’ve had my appointments rescheduled on me after learning the staff was too LAZY to look into my file to see I was NOT here for an X-ray while that machine was down, I was here for a follow up visit to check on the sensitivity of my tongue! The final straw for me today was AFTER paying my X-ray bill at this place, yet again I had another person on this staff not looking at my file. . trying to get me to do an X-ray again to try and BILL ME AGAIN even though this was NOT a service I needed whatsoever. If I didn’t know any better unfortunately I would have fallen for it. A simple check on my file would have shown this employee that I’ve been coming to this facility for follow up appointments on my tongue for FOUR MONTHS NOW. I’ve waited in this office for an hour & 30 minutes a few times just to be seen by the doctor for about 5 minutes. I’ve told the doctor on numerous occasions that he needs new people at the front desks because unfortunately, every single time I go and have an appointment, they are not very helpful towards my visit.

There are even times I’m trying to schedule my follow up appointment after seeing the doctor and they will see me standing there and continue a 10 minute conversation. I’m under the impression they truly do not want to work. Unfortunately it seems like they never know what’s going on. All of this has been an extremely frustrating process. An extremely depressing process and overall just a bad experience. I wouldn’t recommended anyone to come here.

If you have a special needs family member do not take them here ‼️ Unfortunately I had a very not progressive experience, because the scheduling staff did not do their job. I am the older sister of an adult with autism trying to take care of them. I made an appointment on Monday Jan 6th after finding their provider information on my insurance portal. I called to double confirm if they work with the autistic adult population, they confirmed.

Also shared my insurance information, they confirmed the appointment for Wednesday Jan 15 at 9AM. Additionally I sent over an email to gc@progressiveoralsurgery. com, insurance information and X-rays from most recent dental visit. 8 days pass by and no text notification or call was made to communicate that we don’t take your insurance any more.

I took off time from work to go to this appointment and On the day of the appointment is when I’m informed. This is very unprofessional and inconvenient. I’m sure the dentist is great but I’m very disappointed in the service I received.
