I received a call from one of the girls in the office threatening me that if I didn't pay 6 hundred plus dollars in 30 days they were going to send it to collection.. Mind you I spoke to them prior to my appointment. They ensured me that my insurance would cover 80%.. A few years back I had the same procedure done with the same insurance and this did not happen.. THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN AFTER CALLING THE DOCTOR OFFICE. Hello all, Hope this review will help you understand the office and doctor’s behavior before going to the doctor. We approached thinking we received service in a past (~8 years ago) and they will help as much as possible. However, the experience was completely worst.

We scheduled a complementary appointment with them, they took x-ray and pushed us to go for surgery to remove the roots they left in the past (~8 years ago), they gave us estimate of ~$1200 which we felt unusually high, where they explained anesthesia is must, sedation is must where as we planned to get second opinion and found that, it will not require sedation at all (which is money stealing trick). So, we decided to cancel the appointment with this so called Prospect oral surgery office, and now they want to collect the cancellation charges of $50, they said they sent us the bill in email where we signed for cancellation charges, so we decided to pay $50 cancellation charges and guess what, they charged $500 on my credit card. Called them and, they are saying the amount of $500 is a balance of the first appointment which they said will be complementary, can you believe this type of unethical behavior from a dentist’s office!! How can someone want to go and get service from this scammers who just want to steal money from patients. Initially they cancelled appointments two times, once because doctor was sick (who knows how true), and second time , they lost power (don’t they use backup power, really?), fishy, right!! If they cancel appointments, they don’t get any punishment, if we cancel, they charge us, and also want to cheat too.

Doctors take oath to help all patients as much as they can and will never cheat them, doesn’t this seem a clear case of cheating ? I would never recommend these type of cheaters to any patient.

Focus On Resolutions

As a new patient, I must say my experience has been exceptional. I was a bit hesitant to proceed with the oral procedure due to anxiety and a bad dental experience. However, Dr. Yuan Cathy Hung and her staff were full of knowledge, explaination & experise in this professional field. I would recommend her to everyone! Always know you are deserving of a compassionate professional!

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Hung. The staff was warm and attentive, which helped ease any nerves I had going in. Dr. Hung was not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also took the time to explain the procedure clearly and answer all of my questions with patience and care. The surgery went super smoothly, and I felt well-cared for throughout the entire process.

Recovery was much easier than I expected, thanks to the thorough care and clear guidance I received. I would confidently recommend Dr. Hung to anyone in need of oral surgery. Her professionalism, compassion, and expertise truly set the standard — this is exactly how a specialist should practice.
