Had my second root canal today, and I must say Puget Sound Endodontics is the BEST. Dr. Niazi did my first root canal at their Silverdale location, and the experience was excellent but I never bothered to do a review. The second procedure today on a different tooth was at the Port Orchard location, again with Dr. Niazi. He is very skilled, and takes the time to explain each step, but perhaps most importantly he is kind, careful, and compassionate.
Not a big fan of having my teeth worked on (I mean who is, really) I fell asleep in the chair toward the end of the appointment! Everyone there provides top notch customer service. They are all amazing. I wouldn't recommend getting a root canal for the heck of it, but if you need one I can't imagine a better place to go. Ten out of 10.

Root canal was performed recently by Dr. Niazi with Kelly assisting. Procedure was done without any sedation. Both professionals were amazing and their chair side manner was outstanding. Dr. Niazi patiently explains each step of the procedure during the process and frequently checked to see if I was OK.
Kelly was efficient in her assisting and comforting. I experienced no pain, not even mild discomfort. My pre-appointment anxiety was misplaced. I highly recommend Puget Sound Endodontic Associates.

I was referred to this endodontist office to get a root canal. When I called their office initially I had to leave a message. Eventually my call was returned 4 days later. I was told they had a couple of different offices I could be seen at, the one in Port Orchard or the one in Silverdale. The best availability they had for a consultation was a week and a half to 2 weeks later to be seen in their Silverdale location. And you have to have a consultation before you can schedule the root canal even if the dentist office that referred me out did an eval and X-rays and determined the root canal was necessary. I was told that they had a 9:30am appointment but yo show up at 9:20am to fill out the physical paperwork. I have Syringomyelia and Fibromyalgia so I did not want to do a mass of forms online. I put the address in my Google Maps and got turned around in the vicinity of their office location so i called and left a message that I got lost and may be a tiny bit late. I arrived at 9:28am. The receptionist was new and couldn't find my name on the books.
She asked another lady why she couldn't find me. Apparently since I was 8 minutes late I was thrown away as a no show. She told me if I had questions about that up wait and talk to the other woman. I felt like I was in grade school being sent to the principal's office. I told her I left a message and I was only 8 minutes late. She said she left me a message yesterday afternoon to be sure to get there at 9:20. She also indicated that I would not be able to be seen even with a throbbing molar. She was so disrespectful adding that I would have to also go somewhere else to be seen as the doctor didn't want me as a patient being that I was marked as a no show. When I asked why 8 minutes late was such a huge set back for a mere consultation she said that the consultations last about 15-20 minutes and they were already slammed so that endodontist would be late to all of his other patients for the rest of the day if we went ahead with my appointment. This is a bad way to treat patients who are already in pain. I find it to be highly unprofessional the way this place conducts business.
Maybe don't schedule your appointments so close together then. What if I needed to use the bathroom after I checked in. What then? I find it hard to believe that a 5-10 minute window is so remarkable for a patient to be turned away. Also, this same tooth was the initial tooth that I was referred out for to the same clinic last year and they determined the tooth next to the molar that needed a root canal would be the one that they thought needed the root canal so they worked on the smaller tooth next to my molar for the root canal last year. I don't understand all of the good reviews. The way they speak to patients warning them about not prescribing anything for pain before they schedule and prying questions about payment and insurance before scheduling is also rude. I will gladly schedule elsewhere. I've never had such an unpleasant encounter with an Endodontist office. You guys need to get it together. This place leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Dr. Niazi is great at what he does. He put my mind at ease and did the root canal on my lower molar with minimal pain. Kept me informed and comfortable the entire time which took about 45 min total. Don’t hesitate to see this doctor if you need a root canal.
