You rarely have a chance to sit down in the office before you are called back to an exam room. Staff helpful and courteous! This DDS has helped me more than once on his day off in an urgent situation. Highly recommend!

I had a visit in April 2022 and it was my first time, had to wait an hour, not happy. They also billed my insurance for services that I didn't get, still not refunded the money to the insurance company. They also over charged my husband for his copay, will not refund that money either. Have to file a complaint with the insurance company and NC department of insurance, would not recommend at all!

Dentist overcharged according to price allowed by being an in-network provider. Delta Dental Representative called the office on 3 way to help rectify the situation. The office staff were rude and basically just said they would pass on the message to the Dentist. 600 dollar difference so no small deal. Delta dental told me that i needed to file a complaint through the insurance website for a billing complaint.

Wouldn't use the as an in-network dentist office. They over charge before finding out what is allowed and then dont refund the money. I feel bad for all who dont read explanation of benefits and just over pay.

Very bad business. Cowherd charged my credit card $17,600 without doing absolutely anything but x-rays and putty impression to make a permanent overlay crowns that I didn’t need. He said that my insurance company would cover the rest of the bill. I became leery once his office called and canceled my cleaning appointment several times and after one month, I decided to get a second opinion concerning my dental needs. This dentist gave me a complete service plan with an estimated cost around $4,300.

After I got the second opinion, I call Cowherds office and told them I would not be coming back because I felt leery of the services. Right after my call to his office, I got an alert from my credit card company letting me know that he had charged my card $17,600. I placed a complaint with the card company and was told to call his office to discuss the matter. I called and left messages, but no response. He finally called and said he would return my money back to my credit card, and he gave me his personal cell so I could reach him directly if I had any more issues reaching him.

I believed him. But a week later I call the card company to verified, and the company said he had returned $14,000 of my money, but not the $17,600 he took. I filed another complaint with the card company and called Cowherd office and left a message asking him to return the rest of my money. Money was returned in full after I filed a small claims order.
