I came here as a new patient and just recently moved to Hastings, hoping to find a good dentist close by. This one had the highest reviews, so I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning. At the appointment, everything was going well with the hygienist, but I believe Dr. Tri acted extremely unprofessionally. When meeting with Dr.

Tri, I was lectured and shamed for my facial piercings and the damage they were causing to my teeth. I am well aware that facial and mouth piercings are not forever, and I will not keep them for long. I was also interested in resin veneers to replace my previous ones, so I scheduled a follow up consultation for the veneers despite feeling uncomfortable after the appointment. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and came back for the consultation. At the consultation, I was quoted over $4,000 for my 4 front veneers to be replaced.

This is out of my budget personally, as I was under the false impression that it would be covered by my insurance since that was the case in 2015 for me. I was disappointed to say I could not go forward with the veneers, and Dr. Tri began talking about how they are an established business and they still need to make money, and they don't do "charity cases". I left the appointment absolutely mortified that he treated me this way, and I will never be coming back or recommending it to anyone.

I cannot say enough good about River Valley Dental. I felt privileged to have Dr Kevin working on my dental issues as he is both a very trained and experienced dentist and an artist! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and efficient. Never had a dental clinic like this one before. Wish I had found them sooner!
