I first brought my daughter to see Dr. Cannon, because HE is a specialist, and SHE is special (Down syndrome). I've been very happy with her care by all the staff, and Dr. Cannon had more expertise than our regular family dentist.

So, I brought in my "normal" son. He soon was hooked - the toys while you wait, and the toy chest after, of course are kid favorites. And then - the SECRET - I brought myself! Old thought I am, I sat in the chair and got a little TLC, just like the kids.

We will never be returning to this office. We’ve had a good experience for 2 years until this week. My son was afraid and crying. He wasn’t making a seen in any way. He was crying for a maximum of 2 minutes and he expressed that he was afraid and continued to quietly cry. Dr Matt spoke to him in a way that absolutely put me into a place of shock. He demanded that he stop crying and told him that he had other people in his office that he was bothering. Then shh’d him like a toddler does to another toddler.

His behavior was absolutely unacceptable and verbally manipulative. If you have children, please find someone else. My son left feeling so defeated and like he caused everyone in the room to have a bad day. No child should ever carry that pressure. We went to a pediatric dentist believing that patience and gentleness would be given. Dr Matt does not operate with either.

Erica went above and beyond for my daughters first dentist appointment. She made her feel so comfortable and went through every step with her. My oldest daughter loves going to the dentist now because of her. Definitely would recommend her as a dental hygienist. Dr.Cannon is always amazing with the kids. They are so kind if a child is nervous or scared. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Dr. Cannon and his staff were all phenomenal, not only taking care of me, but also my two kids. They took really good care of my 4-year old daughter, so as to not make it a bad experience. She loved it so much that she wanted to go back the next day to the dentist! Many thanks again to the RiverView Dental Specialists office; you make a sometimes not-so-enjoyable experience go really smoothly.
