I’ve had several root canals by Dr. Brandys and none was any more uncomfortable than getting a filling. He explains things very clearly, uses high tech equipment and is a wizard at administering anesthesia. He has an MS in dentistry and has been an endodontist for nearly 30 years. If you’re in pain and you want to save a tooth he has the expertise and the experience you need.

Okay, I didn't actually have a root canal with Dr. Brandys, but he was incredibly honest to tell me, while I was already in the chair, that my tooth was too far gone. As he got ready to do the root canal, he could tell it wouldn't actually help me and said I probably needed an extraction. I just appreciate the honesty!

Terrible experience. I had work done by Dr. Brandys before moving from Chicago to Washington. I tried to pay my bill about a month after my procedure. I went in person to do so and was told that the person who takes payments wasn’t available and that they weren’t processing payments at the time. I asked when that person would be back and was simply told “I don’t know.

” We ended up having a terrible move to Washington. My father passed away and I have a sibling in Tokyo and one in Hawaii so dealing with his possessions fell on me by default. I’ve had to drive to Grand Junction Colorado and deal with his estate while also moving all of my stuff to the west coast, so yeah I’ll admit that paying for my bill slipped my mind. A few months after the move I get a call from collections. Dr. Brandys reported me for late payment even though his office literally REFUSED TO TAKE MY PAYMENT IN PERSON! Not only that, they tacked on almost $1,000 in late fees, something even the collection agency said is an unreasonable amount! I called them to ask why they wouldn’t take my payment initially.

I was told the woman who takes payments was out for a few weeks for emergency surgery so I must have tried during that time. So how is that my fault? I asked, given that I attempted to make a payment but wasn’t able to due to unforeseen circumstances on their end, if they would please remove the late fees. They refused. Terrible people. Avoid at all costs!

I had another root canal with Dr. Brandys today (he did one for me in 2020 as well). I can’t say enough about his office — they are friendly, reassuring, prompt, kind and as one reviewer said it so well, “he is a wizard at the novocaine process. ” I had virtually no pain with either of my root canals with him, and I was in and out in a total of 1. 5 hours, start to finish.

He is very thorough about explaining what’s happening during the procedure and patient about answering any questions. Highly, highly recommend him. I’ve had other root canals done by other endodontists, and he is far the most competent and pain free doc I’ve ever had.
