This review is from an experience 5 years ago, but it's stuck with me and still upsets me. I had a regular dentist, but I thought I would try this dentist out since they were nearby. I had just had X-rays at my previous dentist the 6 months before. I thought I would have my teeth cleaned and see how they treated me, if I had a good experience I'd transfer my X-ray and records. Hygienist immediately made me uncomfortable with just her questions, very impersonable, (I felt like a cog in her checklist) and I was already feeling like I didn't want to return.

She says she'll take x-rays, I say no I just had them with my previous dentist, I'll pass and have them taken the next time. I have a very strong sense of consent and being able to decline and have control over my care. The language and approach of the dentist to get me to have x-rays made me so uncomfortable, it was coercive and disrespectful, that I knew I would not be returning so really did not want to get x-rays done here. The dentist was unwilling to clean my teeth if I declined the x-rays. I got up and left before they cleaned my teeth.

Will never return. Even writing this review gets me upsets.

They go out of their way to make their patients feel so comfortable and most importantly they educate them on the importance of dental care and dental hygiene! Their patients are their #1 Priority! Usually I read reviews before going somewhere. This time I did not and I deeply regret it. While everything seems ok at first, staff was friendly, environment was clean; the way I felt slowly changed. After the exam and cleaning they made me feel like my mouth and teeth were on the verge of a health crisis. The cleaning was the most painful cleaning I have ever had! I have been going to the dentist my entire life so I know how it should feel. I was told I needed fillings because I had so many cavities.

My last dentist a year ago did 2 fillings and told me that my teeth were good. I had no other issues. My hygiene practices are not perfect but they are good. What they were telling me so far reached that I was baffled. The dr even said I need to get a sleep guard bcs I grind my teeth. Lies! I know it’s a lie bcs they told my husband the same thing the day before on his visit.

The dr even started to be annoyed and kinda upset when I chose not to get her recommendations. I play nice and remain polite because I am not confrontational but the more I think about my experience is the more upset I get. I will never return to that place.

I feel so fortunate to have such an excellent dental practice in my local shopping center. The staff here are friendly and personable and I feel well cared-for every time I visit. When I accidentally chipped a tooth they were able to see me within the hour for an emergency filling, and for my regular visits I'm always seen very promptly.

I also find Dr. Gaznavi very knowledgable and straightforward with her assessments of my dental needs.
