Rose Endodontics is a dedicated endodontic practice located at 3 Oak Dr suite B, Maryville, IL 62062. The clinic is primarily led by Dr. Edward T. Rose, DMD, MS, who was born and raised in Belleville, IL, and followed in his family's footsteps into dentistry, specializing in endodontics after graduating cum laude from Southern Illinois University-School of Dental Medicine in 2003. He completed his residency with a Master's of Science (Research) and earned his certificate in Endodontics at Saint Louis University's Center for Advanced Dental Education. The practice also features Dr. Elizabeth A. Uhrich, DMD, MS. Rose Endodontics was established in March of 2008. As endodontists, Dr. Rose and Dr. Uhrich specialize in maintaining teeth through advanced endodontic therapy, focusing on the soft inner tissue of the teeth, known as the pulp. Their services include root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment, endodontic surgery, and diagnosing and treating oral pain, often stemming from toothaches or cracked/fractured teeth. They emphasize patient comfort and utilize modern technology to enhance their diagnostic and treatment capabilities. This includes digital radiography to reduce radiation exposure and a Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scanner, which allows for three-dimensional visualization of dental anatomy, aiding in the detection of issues not visible with traditional 2D images, such as fractures. The clinic strives to make the "root canal" process as comfortable as any other dental treatment. All visits begin with a comprehensive exam including radiographs and a clinical examination, followed by a thorough discussion of treatment options. They perform treatments comfortably with local anesthetic and use a rubber dam to maintain a sterile field. While some treatments may require multiple visits, many are completed in a single appointment, depending on the case's complexity and the degree of infection or inflammation. The practice also offers options for cases where initial endodontic therapy may be unsuccessful. Rose Endodontics is actively involved in the dental community, with Dr. Rose being a past President of the Illinois Association of Endodontics and the Madison District Dental Society, as well as a founding member of the International Academy of Endodontics. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, with evenings by appointment only, and accepts many traditional insurance plans.
