Detailed Introduction

Sage Dental is a prominent dental service organization (DSO) that provides a wide array of general, specialty, and cosmetic dental services. Founded in 1997, Sage Dental has grown significantly, establishing a strong presence with over 60 offices primarily across Florida and Georgia, with plans for continued expansion into other states like Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The core mission of Sage Dental is to deliver excellent dental care in a professional, respectful, and caring environment, emphasizing patient education and improving overall oral health. They differentiate themselves by offering a "one-stop-shop" approach to dental care, meaning patients can receive a broad spectrum of services—from routine cleanings and preventive care to specialized treatments like orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry—all within their network of practices. This integrated care model aims to enhance convenience for patients by minimizing the need for outside referrals and reducing multiple visits. Sage Dental is committed to leveraging state-of-the-art dental technology to make dentistry safer, smarter, and more effective. They offer advanced treatments such as clear aligners (like Invisalign), dental implants, and GLO Pro Teeth Whitening. Affordability and accessibility are key priorities for Sage Dental. They accept most dental insurance plans and provide assistance with filing claims. For patients without insurance, they offer the "SageCare+" Discount Dental Plan, which allows members to save significantly (up to 65%) on various dental procedures, including general, specialty, and cosmetic care, with benefits like free comprehensive and emergency exams and full-mouth X-rays. They also offer third-party financing options to ensure quality dental care is within reach for more individuals. Sage Dental is also dedicated to professional development and continuous learning for its team members. They launched the "Sage Academies" program in 2021, offering extensive continuing education in areas like prosthodontics and orthodontics, aiming to equip their dentists with advanced skills, particularly in emerging areas like implant dentistry covered by new insurance plans. The company is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, and is backed by private equity investors, including Linden Capital Partners. While their rapid expansion and business model have garnered some public discussion, their stated goal remains to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible dental care for families.

My experience was great, my hygienist was Vee and she was both kind and precise about everything. Her service felt peaceful, professional and friendly! She also helped me get a pro-clean electric toothbrush for free!

This dentist's office has made the past three months of my life awful. I had x-rays and a cleaning with them in January. In February, they did what they told me was a shallow filling in a molar on my left side, during which, I had to raise my hand for them to stop because it was causing pain. A week later, I returned because of miserable headaches and pain making sleep impossible. The dentist checked that the bite was level and then suggested it was a sinus infection, but did not prescribe any medication. I went on my own to my general physician who prescribed antibiotics and a steroid.

After the run of anitbiotics, the pain was not helped, so I returned to Sage Dental and told them the pain was still radiating from the tooth they last filled. They looked back at x-rays from January and saw a wisdom tooth was covered with cavities, saying "Oh, I missed that. " then immediately extracted that tooth. They prescribed no antibiotic or pain medication after this. By the evening, the pain was unbearable and worse than before, I called them and the dentist prescribed Tylenol 3. It did not help either, so I saw my general physician again, who was surprised I had an extraction without antibiotics, and prescribed to me 800mg Ibuprofen, 500mg Tylenol, and Oxycodone to help with the pain until the matter was settled.

I went to a different dental practice who, within 15 minutes, took new x-rays, a bite test, and examined the tooth and extractions site, determining that the filling was actually much deeper than I was told and had damaged my nerve, resulting in my pain and now needing a root canal. They also saw on my records that I was a congential heart disease patient and were shocked that Sage had prescribed no antibiotics, proceeding to do so themselves, adding another for before the root canal. Sage Dental neither took into consideration my medical history, nor did they listen to where I said the pain was and take new x-rays. Do not see this dentist, they will harm you.

Great Vibes

Great Vibes

We’ve been here about 20 times, literally. Between me, my mom and sister. Each time they’ve been efficient with our time and knowledgeable with services. However, there is a lot of activity and they stay busy, so you have to follow up or information will not be communicated.

We’ve had to call several times over the years to get meds sent to pharmacy, to confirm an appt. That they neglected to set, to confirm the doctor was informed of something that they didn’t ever tell them about. So although they are nice and doctor do a good job with your teeth, the staff is overworked and forgetful.
