While the employees overall were nice, I cannot recommend this dentist office to others as I don't feel they prioritize patient care but rather focus on maximizing their profits. When I checked in, I was told it would be $40 for x-rays, which are covered 100% once per year by my plan. After questioning this, it was clarified that the charge was for a panoramic x-ray and a 3D scan, which could be optional. During the checkup, I was informed that I required a 'deep cleaning' which would cost over $500.

Over 10 years ago, I had a similar diagnosis from another dentist office, which I disagreed with. Over the years, several dentists have told me that this is a way for some dental chains to make additional money. I requested the basic bi-annual cleaning covered by my insurance, but was told they would not perform it since they deemed I needed the deep cleaning. After deciding not to use their services, I was informed they would waive the $10 office visit fee required by insurance.

However, upon reviewing my plan and contacting Aetna, I found that my copay for office visits is $0, suggesting another add-on by the chain. My wife reminded me that three years ago, when we moved to Cumming, she also visited this office and was told she had two cavities. She immediately changed dentists and hasn't been diagnosed with any cavities since, much less the two they identified during her consult.

Went here for a semi-annual cleaning and first they were going to REQUIRE that I pay for services in excess of what my insurance covered to even be seen and then informed me that my visit didn't include a cleaning. In what world do I need to come to the dentist twice for a basic cleaning. I have never gone to a dentist and been told that I will need to come back a second time for a basic service. Exam + cleaning.

No matter what time you call. They don’t answer the phone. I just had a root canal and have serious concerns about swelling and bleeding. Called this office 920am and c they never gave me a call back. Only the voice mail everyone I call. This is unacceptable.

Poor customer service. I do not recommend this office at all. If I could give negative stars that’s exactly what they would get. It’s Friday and I have to go through the weekend wondering why am I bleeding because this office don’t want to do their job and answer the phone. Or return phone calls all day long.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience! I’ve always avoided going to the dentist due to bad experiences, fear and the costs. I had a full mouth of teeth extractions with the immediate dentures done. The process was absolutely amazing and everything was thoroughly explained to me. I was amazed after the procedure because it was over with fast and I had no pain at all after the numbness subsided which shocked me! My teeth look better than I expected and I couldn’t be happier! Anyone out there that’s needing this procedure I highly recommend D. M.

D Khyati Shahpatel and her assistant Hoda at the Cumming Ga. Sage dental!!!! Plus all the staff up front. They were all great and stayed in constant communication throughout the process. Don’t have any fear because they really do care and it really was easy to go through. Thank you guys at sage with a big smile 😁
