Detailed Introduction

Salt Lake Endodontics PC, also known as Salt Lake Endodontics, is a highly specialized dental practice located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The practice is led by Dr. Mitchell G. Rudd, a distinguished Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Rudd's extensive training and dedication to endodontics ensure that patients receive care from a true specialist in the field. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Utah School of Dentistry and an Attending Doctor at the University of Utah Hospital, where he teaches dental residents, further highlighting his expertise and commitment to advancing the field. The core focus of Salt Lake Endodontics is endodontic treatment, which primarily involves the diagnosis and treatment of issues related to the dental pulp and the root of the tooth. Their comprehensive range of procedures includes: Root Canal Therapy: The most common endodontic procedure, aimed at removing infected or inflamed pulp, cleaning and shaping the root canals, and then sealing them to prevent further infection. Endodontic Retreatment: Addressing cases where a previous root canal treatment has failed or new issues have arisen, requiring a second intervention to save the tooth. Apicoectomy: A microsurgical procedure performed when inflammation or infection persists after conventional root canal treatment, involving the removal of the apex (tip) of the root and the surrounding infected tissue. Cracked Teeth Treatment: Diagnosing and treating teeth with cracks that may extend into the pulp, aiming to prevent further damage and infection. Traumatic Dental Injuries: Providing specialized care for teeth that have suffered trauma, such as fractures, dislocations, or avulsions (knocked-out teeth), with the goal of preserving the natural tooth. Dental Implants: While primarily an endodontic practice focused on saving natural teeth, they also offer dental implant services for situations where a tooth cannot be saved and replacement is necessary. Salt Lake Endodontics prides itself on its patient-centered approach. They understand that endodontic procedures, particularly root canals, can be a source of anxiety for many. Therefore, they strive to create a comfortable, professional, and compassionate environment. The team emphasizes clear communication, ensuring patients are well-informed about their condition and treatment options. They also prioritize efficiency and flexibility, particularly for emergency cases, to ensure patients receive timely relief from pain. The practice leverages state-of-the-art technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes. While specific technologies are not extensively detailed on their public site, endodontic specialists typically utilize tools such as operating microscopes for magnified views of the intricate tooth anatomy, digital radiography (X-rays) for reduced radiation exposure and enhanced imaging, and potentially CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) for 3D imaging, all contributing to precise and predictable results. Salt Lake Endodontics has a strong reputation within the local community, often receiving referrals from general dentists who trust Dr. Rudd's expertise. Patient testimonials frequently highlight the friendly and professional staff, the effectiveness of the treatments, and the comfortable experience provided even for complex procedures. The practice's commitment to continuous learning and adoption of advanced techniques underscores its dedication to providing the highest standard of endodontic care in Salt Lake City.

From in-take at the front desk, through the appointment and after-care instructions, the care I received at Dr. Mitchell's office was unsurpassed. "Pain-free" and "root canal" are not usually spoken in the same sentence, but that's precisely what I experienced: a procedure so expertly performed that I felt no pain during and very little afterward.

And Dr. Mitchell's staff are skilled, professional, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily kind.

I can't recommend Salt Lake Endodontics enough! My mother recently had a root canal, and we were both so impressed with the care she received. Everyone on the team was kind, compassionate, and truly made us feel comfortable. The procedure itself was very smooth, and we're so grateful for such a positive experience. Definitely the place to go for endodontic needs!

Got my first root canal with Salt Lake Endodontics and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The staff was very friendly and considerate and the procedure went by very quickly. Many people say root canals are serious and complicated procedures, however they made it feel quick, painless, and effective.

I no longer feel the immense pain that had been caused by the infection. 100% would recommend to anyone needing to get one done.

It's never a great day when you have to be at an endodontist. Things went as well as they possibly could have under those circumstances. The staff were affable and professional, they answered all my questions. My procedure was completed the same day I showed up for my referral with minimal discomfort. I was able to pay my bill in two installments, which I appreciate.

Though the parking lot is a little strange, there's free parking available at the facility. My only gripe is that I didn't get the email with my patient registration paperwork until ~12 hours after receiving the first reminder text about it (I did check the spam and marketing folders). And, come on, who actually cares about that? No one, lol. 5 stars.
