Detailed Introduction

Sea Mar White Center Medical Clinic is a vital part of the larger Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a non-profit federally qualified health center established in 1978. Located at 9650 15th Ave SW Ste 100, Seattle, WA 98106, the clinic is deeply committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational, and cultural services to diverse communities, with a specialized focus on the Latino population. As a community clinic, Sea Mar White Center offers extensive primary healthcare services for individuals and families. These services include, but are not limited to, preventive health exams, prenatal care, acute care visits for non-life-threatening conditions, minor procedures, health education, and follow-up care from hospital visits. They also provide chronic disease management for conditions like diabetes and asthma, immunizations, well-child checkups, family planning, and various screenings. A core principle of Sea Mar is accessibility. The clinic accepts Apple Health (Medicaid) and offers a sliding fee scale for uninsured patients, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from receiving necessary care. They are also in-network with most major commercial insurance carriers. Sea Mar is dedicated to providing culturally competent care, with staff capable of offering services in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, either through bilingual staff or interpreter services. Beyond direct medical care, Sea Mar Community Health Centers engage in broader community initiatives. They operate a patient portal (MyChart) for convenient access to health records, appointment scheduling, and communication with providers. They also have a 24-hour nurse advice line and on-call providers for after-hour needs. Their commitment to social justice is evident in their advocacy for vulnerable community members and their involvement in various community programs, including educational and social services. Sea Mar also runs residency programs for healthcare providers, contributing to the training of the next generation of culturally competent healthcare professionals. While reviews for the White Center specific clinic are limited, the broader Sea Mar Community Health Centers have a mixed reputation. Some patients praise the compassionate and patient staff, particularly in OB/GYN, and appreciate the culturally sensitive approach. However, some criticisms have been raised regarding appointment scheduling, wait times, and consistency in provider care across the larger network. Overall, Sea Mar White Center Medical Clinic plays a crucial role in delivering essential healthcare services to the White Center community, emphasizing affordability and cultural inclusivity.

Went in without an appointment for a vaccination and was out the door within 20 minutes. The lady who gave me my shot was super nice and funny, wish I would’ve gotten her name. As someone who’s afraid of needles she assured me by telling me “don’t wordy you have someone who’s very good with her hands” will definitely come again for my second shot!

I walked in today without an appointment. That being considered, I was seen without having to wait very long and was thanked by multiple people for waiting. Wasn't necessary but I found it to be quite sweet. Everyone I encountered was kind, patient and helpful. It appeared as though majority of the staff is bilingual. Facility was very clean and there was ample parking. I am very thankful my friend suggested this clinic. I don't have insurance.

I originally had an appointment with Neighborcare and once I found out that for a new patient to just walk in the door it would be $279, I canceled. In comparison, I believe it's $170 at Seamar. Still not cheap, but I don't think that exists in this world today. They offer a sliding scale and payment options. Going to the doctor isn't something most of us ever want to do. The people and the way they operate is impressive and so appreciated. I plan to go here if/when I need to visit the doc again.

Seamar Doctors saved my Life. I returned to see my Primary Care Dr. Ocean Williams January 2 2025, as a new year resolution. He Referred me to Cardiologist Stephanie Cooper and I saw her 15 min later there in the White center Clinic. Stephanie prescribed aspirin and nitroglycerin pills as a precautions until I could get a CT angiogram done. On January 9 I had the first of 5 mini hart attacks over the weekend I had been taking the Aspirin as prescribed and chewed on the Nitro pills each attack. Monday morning, Jan. 12, I called the staff at SeaMar for advice about what I should do.

They instructed me to go to the ER. Now I have a life saving stent installed in my hart by the Interventional Cardiologists at St. Anne Hospital and a whole new chance at life. I was in denial. I was still not convinced my symptoms were hart related because it really didn't hurt. Yes, I should have gone to ER on Jan. 9 but I made ignorant decisions. I'm convinced that Dr Williams and Dr Cooper saved my life by getting me the two medications and giving me awareness that kept oxygen getting to my hart while my idiot brain figured out how to get help.

Think about the time line. First Dr. visit in years Jan 2, hart attacks a week later, three days in the hospital and feeling good as new Jan 14. I get emotional thinking about how it would have turned out without these doctors spot on accuracy. It's completely humbling that the people at SeaMar come to work every day, deal with the complicated and stressful human condition, just in case a person needs to have their life saved. Marc Parker
