Detailed Introduction

Sesser Community Health Center is a vital healthcare facility located at 6294 IL-154, Sesser, IL 62884. It operates under the umbrella of the Christopher Rural Health Planning Corporation (CRHPC), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare services in Southern Illinois. The center functions as a comprehensive clinic, offering a broad range of medical and dental services. Specifically, Sesser Community Health Center provides family medicine, primary care, and integrated behavioral health services, including mental health treatment. They focus on preventive care and education, aiming to deliver "dental health care" rather than "disease care." This includes thorough exams, oral cancer screenings, and necessary X-rays. The center is staffed with family practitioners and physician assistants, with plans to expand their team to meet community needs. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Sesser Community Health Center is committed to providing accessible and affordable healthcare. They accept various insurance plans, including private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. For uninsured patients, a sliding fee scale based on household size and income is available, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from receiving necessary medical and dental attention. This commitment extends to offering services at reduced costs or even free, depending on the patient's demonstrated financial need. Beyond direct medical and dental care, the center offers patient resources such as transportation services for qualified patients, assistance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) enrollment, and social security services. They also provide after-hours coverage for urgent medical needs and utilize a patient portal (Healow) for convenient access to health records and communication with care teams. The Sesser Community Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with Saturday appointments available. It plays a crucial role in serving the healthcare needs of the Sesser community and surrounding rural areas in Franklin County, Illinois.

This place has been great. I originally started going because Dr. Pavlovich moved there from Carbondale and I know he was a wonderful doctor. He left however. The new Dr is very friendly.

The only reason I do 4 stars is because I wish they had a dentist. It’s so hard to find one these days and I’m sure they’re having a problem as well. I’m sure it has to do with Medicaid payments. I hope they find one soon, it’s been too long.

This joker doesn't believe in anesthesia. Everything he does hurts and he won't prescribe any pain relief after he's done. I honestly believe that this dentist enjoys inflicting pain. In fact I know he does. There can be no other reason to hurt someone. Don't go here. Instead make a complaint against him so we can get his license revoked. Negative stars.

Got a wisdom tooth pulled and the dentist refused me any pain medicine and told me to take ibuprofen! That’s very negligent, I would suggest NO ONE get an extraction here! They will let their patients suffer. I got the typical “opioid epidemic” speech. I would give Zero stars if possible. And, the staff was very rude when I asked why I couldn’t have pain medicine since I just had surgery.

I have had 4 extractions with Dr Tran and I have not had much pain at all. He prescribed me Ibuprofen 600 mg. This is one of the best dentists I have ever had as far as no pain. The staff went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable for me and the scheduling was a breeze.
