I don't think I've ever really been excited to take a visit to the dentist, but then who really does? But if I have to go I'm glad it's at this place. I value comfort and personable staff, and this place provides me with both. First off everything is so modern. Love the chairs, so comfortable as is. . . but surprise, there's a massage setting. Am I just a rookie? Does every dentist office have this sort of thing? Regardless, it made for an relaxing time, and I don't think I could ever say that about any of the other offices I've been to previously. Next up, watching Netflix as I'm getting worked on. Again, have I just been out of the loop? When did the local dentist start offering these kind of things? Watching an episode of Friends or Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, you seriously forget what's going on and your appointment just flies by. Sometimes I almost want to stay longer just to finish the episode. I've been to this office 3 or 4 times now, and each time I've really felt warmly welcomed.
I've been to many offices in the healthcare industry and I'd say it's been more common to run into jaded workers just going through the motions, rather than bright, cheery personalities. This place is the complete opposite, and not in a fake plastic way. . . . really sincere, and down to earth, like you've known them all for a long time. These things considered, I must assume that these guys really care about going the extra mile to make everyone's experience an enjoyable one. Now all of the above might seem more like a group of more dispensable attributes, and some of you reading this might be asking, but what about the actual dental work? Well to be fair, I can't talk extensively about something I know little about. I am no oral health expert so all I can say is that every visit I've had was an enjoyable one. I don't ever remember experiencing any more discomfort than I thought was necessary, and every visit felt very efficient. Dr. Shin has always made every effort to make sure I was always doing okay.
I've had routine cleanings, and had a wisdom tooth removed, and after all was said and done. . . I have no complaints. If you're in the area I think it just makes sense to check this office out. . . . unless you like staring into the eyes of your dentist while they work on you, or awkwardly stare into the ceiling. . . I'll take Netflix please!

I've been going to this place since it opened and so have my children (2 years and 5 years old) and husband. Dr. Shin is so thorough & precise with his cleanings, yet gentle. So you can expect to get good results with no pain or discomfort! The dental office is very modern and clean. And all the equipment and tools appear to be state of the art! If there were star-ratings for dental offices, as there is for hotels. This would be a 5+ star! Dr.
Shin and his assistant/receptionist Stacey are great with children. My son is very shy and nervous and does NOT like dentists, so I've tried multiple places and have been unsuccessful with cleanings. But he's had 3 cleanings here! WOOHOO!! My daughter is only 2. 5 years old and she has had 2. I like how they allow the children to sit in your lap during the cleaning to put them at ease. Although, I'm sure it's not easy to clean in such a position.
Stacey is also prepared with activities for the kids during the parents' cleaning & surprises them with a prize from the treasure chest if they are successful completing their appointment. Recently, they have also set up a room within their office where the kids can play or colour. Parents could also wait in this area during their kids' cleaning, although there is tonnes of waiting space in the actual medical centre. All in all, a very positive experience with quality, service, atmosphere, cleanliness and kid-friendliness!

Dr. Raymond Shin is very courteous and highly professional in his engagement with me as a patient. Even though I live in the North York area I go up to Newmarket because I trust in his skills and the service he provides. Definitely would recommend to those looking for an honest dentist.

I've been here for a few cleanings and some reconstructive work and have been very happy with the results. Dr. Shin is a great dentist. What sets him apart is his thoroughness and how good he is at explaining what he's doing and why. The staff is very friendly making for a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
I also like how all of their equipment is new and up-to-date. Aside from the quality service, I like the convenience the location offers. The office is located in a medical building giving me access to doctors and a pharmacy. So, I get to kill multiple birds with one stone when I visit. Wooooooo!
