Dr. Shannon Minges has been my dentist for the past two years. My husband has been a patient of her and Dr. Chelsea Marcuard’s office, Smiles by Shaw, for the past 34 years. > > In March, Dr. Minges did a crown for me on a dental implant. The implant was necessary due to an injury and was placed by a local periodontist, only because Smiles by Shaw, at that time, did not do implants. > > When Dr.
Minges attempted to place the crown on the abutment—she found that the abutment had been placed incorrectly by the periodontist—which made the crown not “seat” properly. Dr. Minges meticulous dental care required my returning to the periodontist which resulted in an abutment replacement. > > Not only did Dr. Minges personally write a letter for me to take with me to the periodontist—Megan, one of her “awesome” patient coordinators, called the periodontist office and relayed exactly what needed to be done. > > Dr. Minges’ dental expertise saved me from the possibility of future issues with the crown placement and implant.
