I have never enjoyed going to the dentist, but I seriously cannot stop raving about how much I love this place! My dental hygienist (I think her name is Dana?) is so personable and polite. At my previous dentist's office I never had the same hygienist and rarely saw the doctor. At Peoria Heights Dental my hygienist remembers my name, occupation, and even certain things we talked about last time.

Even Dr. Vakili is personable and funny while still being incredibly professional, and he has the most gentile touch of any dentist I've ever been to. I really love this place; they take really great care of me!

Dr. Vikali purposefully saved my consultation for a filling appointment for after the extraction. . . but the thing is medically you cant do a filling after an extraction. .

. I asked other dentists including my old dentist in champaign about this, and they said this isn't normal and the filling should have been done before the extraction. Dr. Vikali was able to bill and set up two more consultation appointments (*at my request to talk about that and other teeth and to talk about doing the fillings asap and before the extraction of another tooth) so, in the one and a half month time before my extraction and first consult he was able to schedule me for about 30 mins minimum consultations but always said he didn't have enough time to do my fillings (which is a 45 minute procedure) instead he tried to bill me for 3 consults before even doing the fillings and then scheduled the fillings consultation *another one* the day right after my other tooth's extraction. You can't get a filling for atleast two weeks after an extraction, and his staff stated this, so he literally tried to set up another consultation, wasting more time in total than if he just honored my request to get my filling done first. I do and would trust his work, but he showed no respect for the patients/my scheduling or pain, even when I came in for many like a 45 minute consult saying we should schedule this filling before the extraction.

He chose not to listen to the patient (when I asked to schedule the filling before the extraction or at one of the "consult" sessions) and rather didn't honor my needs or schedule as a patient. I have been to dentists in champaign and chicago, and although Dr. Vikali seems equally knowledgeable, in comparison to my old dentists, in his practice he is single staffed instead of being a co-practice of two or three dentists, he seems overwhelmed, doesn't take the patients needs into consideration, and doesn't listen to patients or honor simple conciseness and timeliness about procedures and scheduling.

Several years ago I was in between dentists and woke on a Saturday morning with terrible pain in an infected tooth. I called his office and they were able to get me in that day. He took care of the issue and I have been coming to him ever since. Best dentist I have ever had! He is so knowledgeable and cares deeply for dentistry. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Vakili is the best dentist in the industry! I recommend him to all my friends. His work ethic and dedication are to be admired. I look forward to my visits with him and his carefully curated and loving staff!
