SmileTown Dentistry is a phenomenal environment for children's dentistry. As soon I walked in, I was approached with smiles and amazing energy from all the staff! The front desk girls are so friendly, helpful, and kind, along with the incredible assistants that are so patient. Management, the dentists, and the assistants do a great job at accommodating for each unique child and families as a whole.

I had a problem with some insurance paperwork and the manager Sofia, was understanding, respectful, and helped come up with a plan. This place truly does care about the well-being of their patients.

I went there with my 6 year old son and I came expecting them to be great with kids and parents. My son was invited to play in the play place while I was immediately sat down to watch a video about sedation before even speaking to a doctor about treatment. We had been referred by our regular dentist for some fillings and when we finally saw the doctor she had not seen the referral and did not look at his previous x-rays. They took another set of x rays there but she wasn’t happy with them and wanted to send me to Guelph for a fancy $300 3d scan (not covered by insurance). She also said they would have to put him out for his next appointment and he would need several fillings and a crown on one of his baby teeth (not a molar).

I was pressured to get it done quickly because he is at the perfect age to fix it? That didn’t make much sense to me and the doctor barely looked at my son and seemed so flustered with my son. They had no video playing or anything to distract him while we talked about his care and I felt very rushed out of the exam room. I was sent to the front to book everything and was given a statement that everything would cost $4,000!?!? Which would be close to $1700 out of pocket after insurance. I was stunned. I spoke with a couple friends afterwards who remarkably had similar experiences and encouraged me to get a second opinion.

I went to another dentist and now my son is getting 4 fillings, doesn’t need general anesthesia just gas and the dentist will put a sealant on his teeth to prevent future cavities which they never discussed at Smiletown and wasn’t included in the $4,000 charge. After insurance I will pay $280 out of pocket for his work with his new dentist which I might add was so much more comfortable with my child and explained everything to me.

Fantastic practice, just for kids! After multiple traumatic experiences elsewhere we were referred to smile town. The dentists take the time to understand and listen and ensure a safe and tranquil experience. If your child fears the dentist, this is the place for you! Five stars is not enough!

We just had our daughter’s appointment here and let me tell you how amazing this place is. The office admin/front desk staff is the sweetest lady. She was so warm and inviting to my daughter and explained the process very seamlessly. We met with our nurse who went over everything and explained in detail. The dentist was also super nice and caring, took his time with an energetic 3 year old.

We did not feel like they pushed any treatment on us at all. We were able to get an appointment next day and the whole deep sedation process was made easy and they were very kind. Facilities are very clean with a cute indoor playground and games. We will continue here for all of our daughter’s dental needs. Highly recommend
