AVOID THIS PLACE! Very bad experience , trauma for my kid forever… The only one word to describe this place is disaster! Screaming and crying kids in every single room! Our experience in this place it’s not even possible to describe… Smiles for kids dental center don’t even reply to my review! Please don’t make this mistake which I did and don’t bring your loved ones there !

I’ve been taking my son here for a while now. Has needed to have quite a few procedures done and yes they were scary procedures for small children but they’ve handled it with my son so well. Very patient and kind service every time we’re in there. Also I’m no dentist but I think they’re dental work is great.

I would have given zero star! 1. the front desk is awful, Hispanic lady was rude, always stepping somewhere else, I was standing there for 5 minutes with two kids to be checked in, had to ask if she checked us or not yet, she said she did THEN TELL ME THAT YOU CHECKED US IN so I can go ahead and sit there instead of blocking the entrance. 2. Why schedule 4 patients at the same time for the same Dr. .
? Waited for an hour with toddler and baby and still wasn’t called, had to leave. Dr. took care of one patient for 50 minutes, what about the rest of patients. . ? I heard several times that Hispanic are racist towards Asians but today I felt that.
Before there was nice white American working at front desk, the waiting area wasn’t that full, maximum 2 patients waiting, everything was organized and she was polite, elevator was open for patients but today the elevator was closed because this Hispanic lady said that the office is still closed that is why elevator is not working, doesn’t make sense since it was already at least three patients waiting inside. People that came after us were standing there for at least 40 minutes. Other reviewers mentioned the same thing, I 100% agree with them. Feels like they are trying to make money as much as possible but decreased the quality. Changed working time from 8 am to 9 am and scheduling 4 people at the same time and next available time in 15 minutes… for another 4 patients

We visited this facility with my 4-year-old daughter for a filling. While completing consent forms, I find out that it’s a baby root canal THEN I am asked to complete a consent form for a possible extraction. After debating what to do given the lack of information beforehand, I finally proceed. We get into the room with the dental assistant. They take another xray. Dentist comes in and says that it will be an extraction. The dental assistant says it’s because the tooth hurts despite me informing them that my daughter is likely saying that because of her aggressive use of floss the night prior. This experience was so traumatic for my daughter and me. Nitric oxide and shots used on a 4-year-old.
Literally wiggling and pulling her tooth out even when she said that she can feel the PAIN not PRESSURE. The dentist then stops, grabs the needle, then injects. Callous. No words to my daughter or me. Barely any words to my daughter throughout the entire procedure. I recognize my responsibility in this and I honestly should have left when I realized I wasn’t provided all pertinent information on the front end. No further explanation for the extraction other than “[she] said that it hurts”. It just feels negligent. I’m kicking myself for allowing them to proceed when I had minimal information, but another consent form states that you (the parent) could be removed from the room if you “interfere “.
It felt so transactional. Do not bring your children here! Update: we visited Main Street Smiles in Barrington today and it was at complete 180. The dentist talked to her at her age level. He was mortified by our experience here, and the entire team was forthcoming. He continuously checked in on my daughter and asked if she was ok. He waited for her response, asked for a thumbs up or down - something the previous dentist didn’t do. I don’t say this lightly, please give your children a better story and honor their human experience by avoiding this facility. And surprise, she was able to have her teeth filled not pulled.
