Dental hygienist was wonderful. I had work done and they gave me my bill. I paid in full. Nine months later they text me. I call back immediately.

They inform me that I owe a significant amount more. It was the first I had heard from them. Billing department tells me she has the wrong mailing address and then tells me they are sending me to collections if I don’t pay in full after admitting they had the wrong address and I was not getting bills. I paid monthly but they continued to harass me due to an obvious mistake on their billing department.

Went today for a cleaning and it was a pleasant experience if there is such a thing going to the dentist. My hygienist Victoria did a thorough job cleaning my teeth and addressing any of the issues that I had with my teeth. And checking out and scheduling with Hailey went really fast and smooth and not painful either. Overall it was a good experience for me.

I’m a disabled Veteran and I had an appointment at Smith Family Dental Solutions in Sanford, NC, on 1/22/24. The night before, I came down with COVID. Since the office was closed, I contacted them first thing in the morning to explain my situation. Despite having a legitimate medical reason for canceling, they still charged me a cancellation fee, citing their strict “48-hour business notice” policy. They refused to waive the fee, showing zero flexibility or understanding.

Frustrated by this experience, I called to have my records removed and to no longer be a patient. Instead of honoring my request, they scheduled another appointment without my consent then charged me again for “not canceling” within their arbitrary window. My wife also had a disappointing experience. She requested fluoride-free products during her visit, only to be met with a dismissive response: “Do you eat fish? Well, they have fluoride in them. ” Rather than accommodating her request, the staff treated it as an inconvenience.

This office has been nothing but a hassle to deal with, from their rigid and unreasonable policies to their poor customer service. I would not recommend Smith Family Dental Solutions to anyone, even if it were the last option in Sanford.
