I came to Smith Family Dentistry 15 years ago because Dr (David) Smith understood Dental Anxiety having experienced it himself. He & his assistant Rosie were amazing and I miss him dearly. I now see his son, Dr. Darryl and he has been equally patient & understanding. I feel he makes every effort to try to understand my anxiety and where I am coming from, and even if he cannot, to at least allow me to feel heard.

Sam, who has assisted on multiple procedures is also empathetic and understanding. She is patient and always attuned to my needs. She is great with distractions and talking me through. Taylor, my Hygenist has been performing my cleanings as long as I've been a patient at the clinic. She is kind and empathetic, understanding and gentle.

She is intuitively compassionate with my anxiety, she can read me and sense when I am apprehensive and she will start to talk me thru something, distract me or just walk me through a part of a procedure. She put time and effort into understanding me, and how to treat me as a person, and it shows. She is a special Human in this field, and I am forever grateful for her.

I just had a filling done by Dr. Dan and Sam, and it was completely painless. Didn’t feel the needle at all and it was a very fast procedure. They both made sure I was comfortable, and we had great conversation (as much as you can when getting a filling). Sam is very patient and kind, and Dr. Dan is a great dentist. Highly recommend.
