My 6 year old came in for a gum infection. Long story short, he needed his front tooth extracted. The dental assistant was very cold, not friendly at all, just dry. The dental assistant asked me why I didn't bring my son in right away when the gum infection was noticed. I told her because I was using natural remedies like clove oil to take care of the infection. The look on her face was as if I was stupid or something. Then, once the dentist came in, she was talking to my 6 year old son with an accent.

My son isn't understanding through the dentists accent, so I'm repeating what the dentist is saying. The dental assistant looks at me and tells me to let the dentist guide him. Basically, for me to shut up and not speak. That instantly didn't sit right with me. Who is my 6 year old going to listen to? A stranger with a chinese accent or his mother who "guides" him daily. I have been coming to Southcenter Kids Dentistry since 2019. Before, everyone was so super friendly the dental assistants and the dentists themselves.

Today was probably my worst experience there. I really don't like the dental assistant there. I was tempted to ask for her name but didn't. I hope the next time I come, I will not have to deal with her coldness and dryness.

I’ve been taking my kids here for 4 years, and they’re always so wonderful. My kids are always excited for a dentist appointment because they have toys, cartoons on the tv, and a little area where they have an Xbox, the original PlayStation and the old school Super Nintendo. The 90s baby in me was really excited to see that haha. We also love the Disney characters plastered on the walls.

My kids used to be so scared of the dentist and would cry and be hard to keep in their seat. Now they’re excited and very calm during appointments. The staff is very quick with check in and getting you in and out in a timely manner. Very professional, welcoming, warm and kid friendly!

I make an appointment for my daughter couple weeks ago and they reminded me one days before. Before my appointment couple hours and they call me to ask to change the time from 11:30 to 1:30pm and I am okay with that. My daughter’s tooth has cavities that’s why her dentist referring her over here for filling. I need to take one day off and my daughter early dismissal too.

But we came there not thing to do, dentist only look my daughter teeth 5 minutes. I don’t know how come they are not filling teeth for her.
